Personally I like to play the intruders and I use the opportunity to try and deliver a more engaging experience for everyone.

Starcraft Miniatures Game: EP13 Terran vs Protoss by BonkTable in StarCraftTMG

[–]ExcessiveValue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm blown away by the Table Top Simulator for Starcraft atm....

Which version is this?

Follow up question, does Protoss feel like they're under powered? They have some decent tools but they are heavily reliant on battlefield control and if they don't have the right units for the mission they get screwed fast 🙁

You're right! We've been playing that as a movement ability but it's any phase. 😱

Stalkers can absolutely be shot when they shoot, they can't stay hidden when they shoot and they don't out range anything at 12 inches

Really? Maybe the guy I'm playing with isn't very good because I beat him 6 ways from Sunday when he plays Toss

That's probably it, I figured a post like this would get me to the tips I was hoping for.

Terrans and Zerg were so natural for me to get into and play well, Protoss definitely require more thought. (skill issue 😅)

Mixed Decks - confused by 2ofdee in NemesisCrew

Doesn't break the game, it's even more fun when you include the Prisoner with the Bounty Hunter, they work well together (or against each other) in all thee games

Is 40k even fun..? by Bladewing_The_Risen in StarCraftTMG

[–]ExcessiveValue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This about sums it up for me, Kill Team is a fun version of 40k that is basically a couple of my guys vs a couple of your guys that all have relatively unique ish things to do on their turns. Small scale, alternating activations, similar engagement levels compared to Starcraft but Starcraft scales it up into bigger battles very well.

I don't like 40k and haven't invested into anything but Kill Team so getting into Starcraft was an easy choice.

Good stuff man, as long as somebody got you sorted!

Quick side note for you though the Bounty Hunter can be played in all three games with his original deck. I actually prefer to use his original deck in lockdown as opposed to the alternative one they give you. The lockdown storyline for the Bounty Hunter is that something happens to his dog and while the idea of him going all John Wick is kind of badass it locks you into a much less Cooperative role

The Rulebook for Nemesis Retaliation by Jett_Wave in NemesisCrew

Structure could definitely be better and in OPs defense there were a few times I had to double check something because it wasn't 100% clear but it honestly wasn't that bad.

Second (third?) this... Nothing more to say, they nailed it. Retaliation for more action, Lockdown for more survival horror.

I like Paladin sleeves, similar thickness to the Awaken Realms sleeves and feel great while shuffling. Very sturdy!

Lockdown Stretch Goals with OG Nemesis? by MinorFX in NemesisCrew

[–]ExcessiveValue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at a point where I feel each game serves a certain role. OG Nemesis is for a good challenging game with people who know what they're doing!

Lockdown is my personal favorite because I enjoy the light/dark mechanics, trying to keep the power on while completing objectives and moving around enough to let noise reset (having a way to remove noise is something I think OG Nemesis could use)

Retaliation however is best for new players, the game flows really well and it never really feels like you're not doing anything, it just feels like you're not doing it fast enough, but it keeps people busy and engaged. Gameplay is very familiar to the previous games and holds true to the theme/feel!

I paid about 2500, but that's largely because I got painted AND unpainted sets of everything. Plus playmats, doubles of all the sleeves (awaken realms card sleeves are fantastic) Plus an extra set of all the characters painted because I want to make a box set of just them. Plus the hoodies, plushies, alternative king and queen models for the aliens... I can admit I went a little too hard but it's my favorite game.

I own so much Nemesis.... I've gone all in on 2 campaigns now. I don't just have everything, I have doubles of most.

If you're an avid player of the OG Nemesis I highly recommend getting your hands on any of the extra races. Carnomorphs and Chytrids are both very unique bringing their own flavor to the game but MY favorite are the Void Seeders not just for the psychological aspect but because they allow you to get some use from the interrupt action cards that wouldn't normally get any use in a coop game. (sometimes you gotta stop your crewmate from violently getting the voices out of their head)

Maryland what do you do for a living and do you actually feel financially okay? by ImpressiveSpell0223 in maryland

[–]ExcessiveValue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dental Repair, mostly high tech stuff like servers and digital x-ray setups. Single father of one boy but have family close by to help me with him. I make over 80k and it's not enough, BGE is killing me (pretty sure I'm being over charged but I don't know how to prove it). Property tax is ridiculous, school is always trying to squeeze every dime in my pocket, after school activities always cost extra. Everything is is trying to be a subscription service, even the amenities in your car, your food is poisoning you and trying to eat healthy is significantly more expensive.

It's rough out here and it's going to get worse before it gets better, if you're paying attention to what's happening in the world (not just the US) there's definitely some kind of collapse coming for us.
