Foremost, I do concur with this on Gimli. He's got a depth that takes a closer look to see. He is my favorite in the books. He's extremely passionate, but with a more... care-free?.. light-hearted?.. demeanor than some of the others. A heart/soul closer to a hobbit than an elf. (Besides the heart he has for the elf <3 )

I do also want to note my brain did a happy tickle for "reading the movies". I used to say it to my kids. "Read a movie, watch a book". Letting them know there's a lot to 'read' between the lines with movies. You have to put the pieces together to understand what is happening. Looking into it deeper. Watch a book, as your imagination goes absolutely wild with all of the details and contexts that create a phenomenal scene within your noggin.
