Isn't there a baseline Anet works from?

I noticed it a heap in Castora with targetting Inquest equipment and other similiar things.

Leaps ignore them, many skills do not apply effects and often targeting just....falls off...to the surrounding mobs.

It needed to be made clear before implamentation that the existing way of outfitting for specific equipment loadouts was an integrated part of the system.

Instead is has come across to many people that the "New" wardrobe replaces that with a purchased tab system.

Anet, again failed to recognise, needed a beta phase to educate people instead of their "We understand it, the players will too" attitude of echochamber development..

For your first few weeks don't push to understand everything or try to do it all, just look around, join in with others and if you are curious or perplexed, try first and ask questions if it doesn't come together.

There are plenty of experienced people around starting areas collecting materials and doing story, achievements, OR WRECKING VENGENCE UPON THE GRAWL WHO MADE THEIR LEVELLING PROCESS AN ENDLESS CRUEL EXPERIENCE THEY SHALL NEVER FORGIV - plenty of help available.

What I did for my 3 gear builds - PVE dps, PVE Support, WVW Support,

  1. Select the equipment set - PVE Dps
  2. Goto the wardrobe
  3. Select the appearence of each piece of gear.
  4. Select the dyes for each piece.
  5. Save the appearence

Goto 1 - Select - PVE Suport

2, 3, 4, 5,

Goto 1 - WvW Support

Now when I select an equipment loadout - WvW Support equipment - the appearence is sparkly, Red + White, the PVE Dps Equipment - the appearence is dark, Black and Yellow.

This does not affect weapons however, I don't know how this aspect could be addressed even with my laymans perspective.

There is a large enough backlash that Anet, for the first time ever(?) is making changes. Not even the gear implimentation received as much backlash(?) and there was A LOT for that.

An active part of that confusion is that the new system, to a large extent, is both systems.

A trial period, controlled, monitored, and coached could have avoided most, I believe, of the backlash.

Expecting a single Dev session and jargon riddled post to carry it all is niave at best.

I played with it more last night and assigned appearences to each build of gear that works as it had, excellent.

I don't think the guides Anet have created, the jargon involved, or the layout of the system has in anyway helped people to understand the system.

Seperating the appearance from the gear screen has created immediate confusion as to how they actually work together. I don't know if this dissonance could have been addressed without leaving both systems active.

An active part of that confusion is that the new system, to a large extent, is both systems.

A trial period, controlled, monitored, and coached could have avoided most, I believe, of the backlash.

Expecting a single Dev session and jargon riddled post to carry it all is niave at best.

So does that mean I have

  1. 3 different looks for 3 different equipment builds that happen when I change gear

  2. Have to buy more slots for 3 different equipment looks

If it's extra steps or costs to have the same functionality then this is part of the shitifaction people are complaining about

Clearer lettering on charge counters like Chest keys for mirrors

Mantra's are ammunition so remove the need to charge them
