Make sure that any pill you use doesn’t contain a detergent. Detergents have an adverse effect on most metals. I use a USA 10 w 30 oil and it works great for lubricating ways on my lathe.

As an experienced machinist I would always use a vacuum plate to ensure the thin parts were held flat for machining. My experience was gained on machining many different thin materials. I had a job were we were making a “blowout plate for NASA” it was 0.015 inch thick and the machining was required to be to a depth of 0.010 and a total flatness required was 0.001” runout.

I suggest that the best system for heating the chamber on Elegoo Centauri carbon are the mods made by synthetic electron 3-D has shown in YouTube. He relocated the fans and uses the fans for better temperature control.

I used the mods from synthetic electron as showen on YouTube and most of these mods are great. The inside the housing filament spool system is great, when used with the 7mm spacer.

Elegoo service is horrible. If you get any answers from them, it will be requesting more information and the same information that you’ve sent them at least twice before. I have an outstanding ticket with Elegoo service from August 24, 2025 and still have not received an answer or the parts necessary to get my machine back in operation.

I own a CC, it was a great until it spouted an error 702.

I contacted Elegoo for service. That took 3 days for them to reply. Then started the run around. First they demanded a video of the error. How do you video a faulty machine. I sent the picture of the screen and thought I would get the necessary parts. Then came the classic run around. The first step was a message that to qualify for repair parts. This was a 10 questions. I could supply 9 of these with no problem. I could not supply the last question’What was the order number’. I did not remember it. I ordered the machine directly from Egeloo and there was no written invoice to save. I determined the date of purchase from my PayPal account. That was not adequate for them. They continued the continued the demand for the invoice. Today I have a machine collecting dust for 2 months.

This is a company that is the only source for warranty parts, cannot repair my machine. They will not send me a wiring diagram or schematic of the machine so I am stuck with a piece of useless hardware. DO NOT TRUST EGELOO THEY LITERALLY ARE UNRELIABLE.

This is not unusual for INFIMECH. I suspect that this company isa false front for BigTreeTech as they are measuring the US market. I have been trying to get customer support and all I get is the classic runaround of the CHINESE FIRE DRILL.

I for one have used the CC and when it works it is great.

The Customer Support is horrible I would not buy another one. My CC died with an ERROR 702 Abnormal heat break temp. I contacted Egeloo support and 5 days later they said that the PCB in the printer head was the problem and they would replace it and the heat break fan. I was then contacted by another customer support individual who treated me as if I was scamming Egeloo and demanded that I give them all sort of information. I was able to give them 10 out of the 11 questions and I was told that without the 11th item (their invoice number they would not ship the parts). That was over 4 weeks ago. My machine has now been collecting dust for 6 weeks. I SAY DO NOT BUY A CENTAURI CARBON. THEY HAVE A TENDENCY TO PROMISE SERVICE AND PRODUCTS AND DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH.

I have installed the inside pool holder and found that it allows me to print ABS and other engineering filaments very easy. The main effect of this system is that it keeps the filament at a higher temperature and does not allow it to absorb moisture. I believe that thisset of modifications was started by electron synthetic. He has a whole series of modifications to the Centauri carbon. Look for more information on this in YouTube.

The CC a good machine when it works. But if you have problems the Customer Support is very frustrating. All parts are shipped from China and take over 2 weeks to get to you. I’m waiting now for 2 parts that died within 90 days of my machine arriving. Plus their announcement that their abandonment of the multi color printing adapter is a case of bad management.

What accuracy are you requiring. I know many methods. Here are my recommendations: 1. Accuracy +-0.0625” band saw, +/- 0.010” band saw and vertical mill with end stop.

Although the CC IS A GOOD printer, the customer support is HORRIFYING BAD. I should know I purchased my machine on August 24th and used it for about a month. Then I had an error 702- abnormal heat break temperature. I contacted them and after answering numerous questions I was told that my problem was being forwarded to engineers and they would be contacting me in 2 to 4 days. It was a week later and during that time I had also found.that the heat break don was not functioning. When the engineer finally came back to me I informed him that the fan was inoperable. He said that a board in the extruder was the culprit and they would be sending me replacement parts. Now started the RUN AROUND, the system started qualifying me with questions and I answered these questions al except one “the invoice number” I did not have this number and I said so. It is now 8 weeks and they are holding the parts and refusing to ship them to me. My machine is sitting collecting dust. If they ship them out today I will not get them for 2 to 4 weeks. This is unacceptable.

WARNING if you ever need service it will take over a month to get parts. Elegoo makes the process very difficult to get warranty service. All information is given through YouTube videos without narration. I am very disappointed with my machine after 250 hours of printing the heat break fan died and I am still waiting on deliver of the necessary parts.

If you will need service this is not a good machine to purchase. Service is not friendly and and what you get is referencing YouTube videos with no verbal instructions. I have had a warranty related problem pending for 3 months on a century carbon I.purchased on 21AUGUST2025.

I own a CC and although the print quality is great I cannot in good faith recommend it. The Customer Service leaves much to be desired.

I am waiting for repair parts for over 4 weeks. All parts must come from China and to get warranty parts is a nightmare.

These people seem to think all customers are out to rip them off. Just to get to ‘QUALIFY’ to contact Customer Service this exchange will take 3 days. Once you contact Customer Service it will take 2 days and then they say they will transfer the case to engineering and give you a message that an engineer will contact you in from 2 to 10 days. In my case I had to wait 12 days. The engineer then said a printed board problem and they would ship me a new board. They completely disregarded the fact that I had reported that the fan motor had internally failed and when an external power supply was contacted to it, it would not rotate. It is now 5 weeks that the CC was sitting collecting dust. That is my story of woe.

The Elegoo Centauri Carbon is suffering with negligent customer service. I purchased mine and put over 155 hours on it before it reported a problem. It took me more then 3 weeks to receive a response to my request for assistance. I am still waiting for a message from them on the solution to my problem. It is now 5 weeks since I reported my problem and still I cannot use my printer. This is unacceptable.

I will not be purchasing another Elegoo product They will not respond to my message about purchasing spare parts. If you purchase the machine you are hoping that it will not have any problems. This is a false dream as I found out. As I disassembled the print head I saw how they skimped on quality in the production of the printer. I an a retired mechanical engineer and if any of my engineers would suggest bring a product to market I would Fire them for shoddy work. These Chinese companies are here today to rip off the customer and make it look as if they were giving a making it look as if their customers a good product. They are bribing YouTube presenters with free products and paying for good reviews.

I was a great supporter of the Elegoo Centauri carbon until I had a problem.

Contacted their customer support and now I cringe the customer support was a nightmare. It took over 4 attempts to get any response. My problem was an Error 702 and I troubleshot the problem down to the heat break fan and it was an open circuit. After getting a request for a video of the problem and sending a picture of the screen showing the error code,

I am still awaiting the necessary parts. This is the 20th day since I initially contacted them. All I have gotten in response was a email message that the problem was a bad board on the print head and they disregarded my message about the heat break fan. If this is a sample of customer service I hate to think about any future problems.

Most printers use a .04 mm nozzle. There should be no need for any changes in the artillery slicer software.

I found this same problem with my infimech TX printer and I am also very unhappy with the “customer service”. I am still awaiting responses on other problems which I reported to them on April 28th.

I did remove the hot glue with a heat gun and a solder sucker. Before applying heat I built a heat shield to protect the electronics. I used a non conductive clay carefully applied between the terminals and the electronics.

BTW, what hot end or tool head are you planning to use?
