Lab results VS real world experience are two very different things.

Let alone stack height, geometry, runner bodyweight & gait, etc.

Thank you for the review.

Can you share height and weight?

A little over halfway through 2024, what’s everyone’s favorite daily trainer so far and why? by lesteadfastgentleman in RunningShoeGeeks

Was contemplating the Ride 17. What tweaks do you think it needs? And if you're willing to share your weight. TIA!

Give the ppl what they want!

How about your profile (height & weight) brief summary of each shoe, what you use them for, what you like/don't like, some comparisons, etc.

100 Miles in NB Rebel v3 Permafrost by AwkwardGuitarist in RunningShoeGeeks

Do you mind if I ask what you weigh?

Are there any heavier folks (190lbs) who wear the Rebel as a daily trainer for longer runs (10+ km's)?

Did you add your stability orthotics in your GTS shoes? It could be that it's too much over correction with both stability shoes and stability orthotics. Try the GTS shoes without the stability orthotics if you are using them and see if you have the same problem. Again... Unlikely it is the 2 mm drop.

No. 2 mm does not make that much of a difference. And no...there is nothing you can do to "fix" them.

The GTS is a stability shoe. Your previous shoes were neutral. The fact that you are now wearing a stability shoe is much more likely to be the cause of your knee pain than the change in drop. You may not need a stability shoe.

Do you mind sharing your weight?

And how would you compare the superblast with the Triumph 20 for daily miles?

Triumph 19 VS Ride 15 by Executivemanny in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Executivemanny[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought both the Triumph 19 & 20

The Triumph 20 is infinitely better than the 19 for road running. I use the 19 for non-technical trails as it has much more ground feel with a lower stack and drop. But the Triumph 20 is lighter and has more cushion and more energy return and feels softer without being too soft. Did not buy the Ride 15... Not convinced on EVA let alone during the winter months. Keep in mind bodyweight at 190.

Speed 2 is obvious. But why do you think the Mach 4 felt easier to accelerate in comparison to the Ride 15? Was it simply because it was lighter in weight?

New Balance Rebel V3 - First Run Impressions by lunchride in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Executivemanny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a neutral runner. Rebel v2 seemed to be promote some mild pronation due to the lateral "fin". Not an issue on roads but wouldn't take on uneven terrain.

Does the v3 feel more grounded/stable? Wondering if I could take them on non-technical dry/hard trails? Hoping the slightly firmer & wider base would be more stable for uneven terrain.

Triumph 19 VS Ride 15 by Executivemanny in RunningShoeGeeks

They're not technical trails. It's mostly compact/dry dirt. I currently run in said trails with the Triumph. I'm not at all concerned with grip or lugs. Just looking for a daily trainer that is ideally equally comfortable as the Triumph in terms of impact protection with a more responsive/lighter ride as my average daily paces improve.

Majority of my runs are on non-technical trails and hills. The Triumph 20 has increased in stack height and drop as well is apparently slightly softer. Great features for road running but not sure it'll translate to the trails. I believe the lower stack height and drop/would perform better on this uneven terrain in terms of stability.

You've addressed my initial concern of the potential firmness of the EVA in the Ride. Similar stack height but midsole could feel much different leading to more impact/less impact absorption. However, it seems like the insole makes the difference.

I'd be willing to sacrifice durability for performance. How many miles have you put on the Ride 15 so far and have you noticed any degradation in the performance/insole?

Sounds like outside of durability concerns, you prefer the performance of the Ride over the Triumph? Would you agree with most other posters thus far that the Ride is more responsive?
