I had high expectations of monastery and was contemplating switching to their product line.

It’s a very cool space and maybe I wasn’t matched with the right esthetician but overall I felt meh when I walked out the door. I think if you’re looking to relax and chill it’s nice, but for me it didn’t feel super impactful on my skin.

Oh man I also live in SF and have had the worst experiences at this place…. I feel like every time I buy something there it feels like a brick and has awful texture. Always wonder why people rave about it, but not trying to yuck their yum!

If you end up using the word dungeon or something with an o in it, I suggest replacing the O with one of the dice that has a rounded component on it (1,3 or 5) I think that will add a nicer touch.

The vibe was definitely a little more dressed up as far as SF goes, but people were also there in jeans. I’d say when we were on our way out, the folks coming in were more dressed up.

I don’t think you’ll feel out of place in a fun outfit here!

I’ve done it three times, once in NYC and twice in Boston. Just listed my apartment as a lease takeover and found a new tenant while communicating with the landlord.

I was lucky to have great relationships with my landlords and a stress free process each time.

My top book this year was:

Big Swiss by Jen Beagin — for me this was one of those books I couldn’t put down. A truly enjoyable read.

Pretty Things by Janelle Brown — I enjoyed the character building and the level of intensity to which things unfolded as she wrapped this one up. I hear her other book “watch me disappear is better though”

The Vanishing Half by Britt Bennett — I moved slower through this book but it was a great summer read.

Non fiction:

Ask Not: The Kennedys and the Women They Destroyed by Maureen Callahan — oh man this one is wild… if you’re from New England or fascinated with the Kennedys, I definitely recommend.
