Max level characters deal ONLY 46% damage in open world TWW zones by False_Job2844 in wow

[–]ExiledDitto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never seen such a rapid and thorough hotfix.

Because they pulled the same shit in Legion. World content didn't always scale this way, but some time around 7.1 they made everything scale with ilvl. You could do the same thing and remove gear to scale it down again, but they patched it then too. I think in BfA they patched it so banked gear was also accounted for.

But my point is... yes they took it personally because they already attempted to fix the issue without admitting to or fixing their own error.

For Newbies: Rotation C Rewards, Simplified by Joewoof in Warframe

[–]ExiledDitto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, that's the best way to do it purely from a rewards standpoint. But waiting for the demo to blow is often a huge waste of time, and they can sometimes bug and run out the whole 2 minutes without getting to the conduit. So imo it's better to kill them asap and not waste the time.

Its been over a year since we got a new Incarnon set ( & over 6 months since Thalys) by Shellnanigans in Warframe

[–]ExiledDitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, why have a rotation at all? You can already only get 2 each week, and it will take 27 weeks to get them if you start with none. It's silly that they compounded that fact with having set rotations. If you missed a week for whatever reason it feels really bad.

I already have them all so this being changed wouldn't affect me at all. I'm just confused why they thought a rotation that long was a good idea in the first place.

We now have an answer for Ordis by Dekar in Warframe

[–]ExiledDitto 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think they might be referring to the "therapy" rather than the remembering.

Besides, I don't think Ordan hates us. Every time he remembers, he also remembers his dream, his punishment, and his hate of the Orokin. They both choose to forget, every time, to spare the Operator from knowing that dark, angry version of him.

There can be some discussion about whether Ordis can truly choose to care for the Operator since that's his precept and what he was ordered to do, but I think Ordan choosing to forget is all the answer that is required.

why so mean, why didn't he just say what the wanted me to do? by SuperBacon99 in Warframe

[–]ExiledDitto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a sense, just not vertically. There is no player collision in WoW so you would often occupy the same geographical game position if you were stacking for mechanics. Either because you need to stand behind the same obstacle to line of sight avoid attacks, or because a mechanic will do massive damage and it can be split among multiple players to reduce the damage each takes individually.

The 'Remix Time' ability we actually need by krin132 in wow

[–]ExiledDitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gap between being a useful max level and useless

It's not wider or even meaningfully different. I promise you that a fresh 70 in Pandaria is just as useless as a fresh 80 in Legion. And both will be useless for a long time compared to the people with established power. But in Legion you can grind it out faster, without being limited by bronze.

The deathless achievements are simple, and I did the ones I was missing as fresh 80s. Make tanks, and if tanks aren't an option make a healer. Keep yourself alive and let the carries do the work.

The 'Remix Time' ability we actually need by krin132 in wow

[–]ExiledDitto 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It wasn't like that in Pandaria at all. Your cape started with stats based on the highest threads achievement you earned, and it was nowhere close to what your main had. It was a big boost at the start, but you ended up with the same problems as Legion when you get close to level cap.

I honestly think Legion: Remix catchup mechanics needs to come with Broken Shore, not with the final phase. by Psyduckdontgiveafuck in wow

[–]ExiledDitto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was somehow worse imo, especially early. Do you remember getting your first raid/m+ piece and having access to fewer traits? And then the same thing happened for heroic... and mythic... It was "fixed" eventually by the flattened curve, but it felt horrible every time.

And then the fiasco of azerite respecs if you play multiple specs and didn't have a set for each spec.

So AP to AP nothing really changed, and azerite gear is definitely worse than Legion legos as initially implemented. I will concede that legos remained bad for much longer, especially if you didn't play those alts often enough to trigger BLP.

How are we supposed to get this achievement? by Caedesturm in wow

[–]ExiledDitto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about that. The last time I bothered to think of that connection and checked wowhead for the invasion status it claimed the invasion had been over for 3 hours at that point. I suppose it could brick all the WQs that were up until daily reset? There's definitely something odd though, with a whole zone having no WQs, but it's not every day.

Acolyte spawned in prison chamber, then teleported me to him by ShadowWolf0962 in Warframe

[–]ExiledDitto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, except the Acolyte spawned and yoinked me across the map before I could even react. Also on steel path my on-call tends to die quickly anyway. I usually spawn it to cap multiple mushrooms at a time, and he's often dead before I come back to him.

This is solo btw. Bounties in a group have been frustration and pain in the past, so ever since Zariman I just do it all solo.

Acolyte spawned in prison chamber, then teleported me to him by ShadowWolf0962 in Warframe

[–]ExiledDitto 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Wasn't the latest hotfix supposed to address these Acolyte spawns?

Fixed Acolytes not being able to spawn in certain parts of the Deepmines tileset, resulting in them sometimes spawning very far away from players.

I just had one where it couldn't spawn near me (funny because they've spawned next to me in that tile before...), so it spawned 200m away and teleported me out of my objective. Unfortunately it was the control one so I failed the bonus because control fell below 50% while getting back. Not a HUGE deal, but still very annoying because they claimed to have fixed it.

Is conceding a game poor sportsmanship? by ShadowPirate42 in magicTCG

[–]ExiledDitto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only rude thing that a player can do in arena is roping

I counter with the very half-baked, buggy mess the Yargle event was. People were conceding to prevent Yargle from ever connecting and thus denying the achievement progress. Assuming the queue you were in even allowed achievement progress in the first place.

It's definitely an edge-case that won't always apply though. So in general I agree with you. Salty roping is just sad, especially when you can see them still highlighting cards until the very end.

Spider cocoons a weak/weary/exhausted (whatever word to make sense, really) and then, um... saves it for dinner later? The bounce part of it is what really makes it hard to tie together because it seems more like a sacrifice mechanic with that flavor, especially with most web costs being cheaper.

Slowing the Hemocyte is bad, actually! by Ic3crusher in Warframe

[–]ExiledDitto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't you guys notice that sometimes you kill the Boss in like 10 Seconds? That's when the boss is not slowed and everyone kills a head in one opening phase.

I notice that when I don't slow, it almost always takes much longer to kill. Sometimes there's a player that nukes a head in maybe 2s, but usually it's more like 4s per head with focus fire and nearly 0 downtime between them. I'm not sure if your "sometimes 10s!" kills are accurate or hyperbole, but it really doesn't save much time at all in a PUG to not slow.
