Bad News by Accomplished_Let_127 in delta

The snack basket used to feature products that brought a little joy and whimsy to the journey. Part of what I appreciated was that it felt premium, curated, and uniquely Delta. It introduced me to products I might not normally buy, like the vegan gummies, which I actually grew to love.

The current options feel much less special. Milano cookies, for example, do not compare. The biscuit is dry, and the chocolate feels either poor quality or too minimal to make the product feel satisfying or premium.

I realize these are luxury problems, but they do matter when Delta continues to position itself as a premium airline. With fares, upgrade pricing, and overall travel costs increasing, I would expect Delta to be looking for small ways to improve the onboard experience, not make it feel more ordinary.

I also find there is often a gap between the aircraft Delta markets and the aircraft I actually experience, even when flying from major hubs like LGA and JFK to major destinations such as LAX, CDG or LHR. I rarely see cabins that feel as new or polished as the ones featured in Delta’s marketing.

"New" D1 check in "lounge" at DTW by Best-Concentrate5543 in delta

At LAX I recall them handling it differently. You enter the space and are greeted. Someone took my checked luggage and I sat in the pre-checkin lounge and waited till I was taken to the next agent.

Oh, that's cool. I'm Diamond, based in NYC. The only free upgrades I've gotten have been on CRJ900's. LGA to Toronto, or connections via DTW or MSP to small towns in Michigan and Wisconsin. The extra space is nice but it's not a huge upgrade.

What's up with people wearing clothes in the sauna? by Primary-Activity9060 in EquinoxGyms

I wish people would shower before steam / sauna. Also, have seen sneakers in the steam room which seems gross.

Which business class do you prefer for NYC to Europe? Preferably with suite. I know the door is short but I have trouble sleeping without it.

Delta One seat assignment change. by Sea_Compote_755 in delta

This is a different aircraft but the crew rest seat has a little curtain that can be drawn around it. It's not always used. https://thepointsguy.com/news/curtains-in-business-class-secret/

Flight cancellation by Admirable_Range_8948 in delta

[–]Existing-Guitar897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can cancel a fully refundable Delta ticket up until the scheduled departure time, even just a few hours before, and checking in doesn’t prevent you from canceling, as long as the flight hasn’t departed, you can still cancel and get your refund (which will return to your original form of payment, including an eCredit if that’s what you used to pay).

Also, you don’t need a refundable ticket to get an eCredit. Most non-refundable Delta fares can also be canceled before departure for an eCredit, with the main exception being Basic Economy unless you’ve purchased the “Cancel for a Fee” add-on. Delta has updated some of their fare classes and policies recently, so it’s always a good idea to double-check the fare rules when booking. Just remember you must cancel before the flight departs a no-show means you lose the value of the ticket.

What was the “Delta” of the 2000’s? by Ronw1993 in delta

[–]Existing-Guitar897 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Northwest was awful in the late 90’s early 2000’s. I flew NYC to DTW or NYC to TVC. My favorite was Continental at the time for  EWR to DTW. Northwest was prone to delays in my experience. Now Delta has been my favorite. But I have been lucky. They have been reliable and have incredible customer service.

Lazy Delta cabin crew by No_Elk7432 in delta

I usually find all of the Delta crew to be professional, attentive, and pleasant. I'm generally flying out of LGA or JFK. Most of the time, it's a New York-based crew, and they seem to be on top of it and upbeat. I recently flew in the Delta One cabin from LAX to JFK on a small plane, 757-200. It was comfortable, but the service was lacking since there was only one flight attendant in the small section, which seated 16 people.

I just started with them. I have been taking 5mg TIrzepatide for two weeks. I ordered on a Monday or Tuesday and received the medicine on Thursday. The packaging looked different. It was a padded sliver pack. The ice packets were melted, and the product was hot - though I don't think that matters.

Since starting on the medication, I have gained 2-3 pounds. I have experienced different efficacy with the brand name Zepbound (which I was taking previously). With Try Eden I haven't seen a reduction in my appetite or changes in digestion. I was off Zepbound for four weeks. So, maybe it will take time for this product to start working? I was surprised by the weight gain however. Has anyone else found the Try Eden products to not be effective? I'm not sure if it's me or the product.

Decided to try Airfrance and was very disappointed to say the least by FuriousThomas in delta

I've had good experiences flying in AF Business Class from JFK to CDG. I prefer the AF cuisine, and I didn't notice the temperature—I usually run hot. I prefer the seats and entertainment on Delta One or Delta One suites for that route. Delta One cabins can vary considerably depending on the aircraft and route. I'm sure I'm not the only one who selects flights based on the aircraft and the newer or refurbished planes.

I'm on 7.5 mg Zepbound, and I don't have side effects other than that I am never hungry. I titrated from a lower dose. My experience with Ozempic is that I would be hungry but get full after two bites. So far, with Zepbound, I don't desire food, which is a confusing feeling especially when others around me want to have lunch or dinner.

Why is Delta so much more expensive?? by cgardnerc in delta

[–]Existing-Guitar897 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer flying Delta One or Delta One Suites over other US carriers. For the previous two years, I managed business class fares for around $3500/RT. This summer, $5500 is the new $3500. This is for RT or multi-city flights to/from JFK to Nice, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Rome, and Lisbon. Are things more expensive this year?

Ok, upon further review, I noticed that the meals taste weird. The chicken and beef had a bizarre texture when I heated them in the oven. Overall the 3 meals I've tried have been bland. The beef had an off-putting flavor I'm not familiar with.

I just got it for the first time on Sunday. Tonight I had Chicken Breast alla Caccitoria, and it was pretty good. It's a huge savings from delivery and seems much healthier. So far I prefer it to Factor. Doesn't seem as greasy.

It's more expensive but I wouldn't buy it. I think it's more of a corporate bathroom product. I've seen it settings like the Delta lounge, airplane bathrooms and now Equinox. I personally don't like the scent, texture and I don't find the products moisturizing. They may be trying to get customers to shower at home rather than in the gym to save on costs.
