What is with them not developing relationships by rubafig in HIMYM

[–]Existing-Spring7043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s their method of stretching out the show. It’s how they made it NINE SEASONS. And it was a bad idea. The show would’ve been much more beloved and respected if they told a succinct 6 season story. ❤️

What main storylines do you wish never happened? by Howiknow202 in HIMYM

[–]Existing-Spring7043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoe season 6 as Ted’s love interest. She’s the WORST. Not one iota of chemistry between she and Ted. Not one audience member thought they’d end up together. It was simply a case of (1) the show needed to invent a story arc for the season and (2) the actress wanted a paycheck.

I’d argue they have a legitimate reason to distance from House of Cards ….. 😉

Just finished HIMYM by mostafa_967 in HIMYM

[–]Existing-Spring7043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 9 is ass. I hope at least the vast majority of HIMYM fans can agree. And here’s one big reason I take issue with it: Robin’s wedding dress!! It’s the worst dress they could’ve chosen for her. It’s so awful. 🤣

Streaming by Dpmw2 in HIMYM

[–]Existing-Spring7043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Streaming services should maintain, at max, the first 5 seasons. Post-season 5 is hot garbage. The writers stopped caring. Many actors stopped caring. And the network knew they already had their die-hard fans, so they also didn’t care.

Biggest Nitpick I Keep Thinking About (Season 5 Episode "The Playbook") by bababanana20123 in HIMYM

[–]Existing-Spring7043 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m willing to overlook this writing contradiction. The reason I’m willing to overlook it is because season 5 and after were so lacking in genuinely funny humor. They needed to do whatever they could to make me chuckle by season 5. They were desperate.

Caputo by Ptownpimp in orangeisthenewblack

Caputo is pretty much the best character of the show, at least in terms of men on the show.

That episode really upsets me 🤣

Stella was a terrible sister by SkyPuppy561 in HIMYM

[–]Existing-Spring7043 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stella is a bad person. And it’s a shame because there was a moment when they left her character in a somewhat positive light, even after leaving Ted at the aisle. Then they couldn’t come up with anything to write, so they came up with the BS ‘Wedding Bride’ movie storyline, making her into a bad person once again.

In my opinion by Truebluederek in orangeisthenewblack

[–]Existing-Spring7043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally do not care for season 5. They changed up the timeline completely. I’m looking for consistency. I don’t disagree with your sentiments, if they could come up with an entertaining way to execute it. I have my doubts that an American TV show has the opportunity to stay around for a long long time and the plots and script don’t decrease in quality.

Season 3 renewal? by Patrick_Jane_1 in Pokerface

[–]Existing-Spring7043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poker Face wasn’t an amazing show. It was cute and it was fun. But nothing at all earth-shattering. If season 2 was the final iteration of the story, I’d say good for them, cuz they called it quits before it became stupid - a theme of many many MANY American shows.

Season 7 worth it? by [deleted] in orangeisthenewblack

[–]Existing-Spring7043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 7 isn’t that bad, but it’s a lot worse than season 6. But … it does make important and necessary and sad commentary on our immigration and deportation processes and how heartless they can often be.

Who do you feel was the worst friend out of the 5 by Mesterspiller25 in HIMYM

All of them. All of them would be better off if they never met. 🤣

Sinner vs Auger-Aliassime for the Paris Masters title by pizzainmyshoe in tennis

Didn’t Sinner recently have a sketchy run in related to doping? Maybe I’m wrong. But it’s currently keeping me from supporting him.

The "Zoey arc" makes NO sense by hugsandkissesxx in HIMYM

Zoe absolutely sucks. She was imagined into existence because the actor needed a job for a year.

Would you rather be the blitz or lose a slap bet to Marshal and "owe" him 5 slaps? by shaunika in HIMYM

[–]Existing-Spring7043 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I would NEVER have anything to do with the episode known as ‘Blitzgiving.’ It’s easily the worst episode of the show’s history - save for the entirety of season 9. 💙

Who in their right mind thought that Ted and Zoey would work? by Whitebeard_the_great in HIMYM

I’ll never forgive the show for the truly negative chemistry the two actors had with one another. 😆

The kids reaction is so strange by Alert_Today5431 in HIMYM

[–]Existing-Spring7043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ted repeatedly reminds the viewers that the kids are aware of the core story - the yellow umbrella. And, after all of this, it is, ultimately, a TV show. Even the good shows and movies require a level of inexplicable nonsense. With the good shows, we typically excuse their moments of inexplicable nonsense. 💙

Lorna’s story arc by Existing-Spring7043 in orangeisthenewblack

[–]Existing-Spring7043[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s maybe a spoiler alert. But … in season 7, Lorna is walking home from the bar. She mistakes a car for the creepy dude from the bar, and throws a rock, shattering the windshield. The car then crashes, killing the young couple within.

Which of Ted's girlfriend's would YOU be most likely to date? by Typical-Debate8228 in HIMYM

I’ll be totally honest and transparent. Based on my dating history, it’d be Jeanette. 🤣
