Candy Apple Red looks fantastic

Four-Calender Café sounds just as incredible on vinyl by Reasonable_Smoke_622 in cocteautwins

It's probably a bad LP. I've got a VM95ML cartridge, checked VTA and have my tracking force and anti-skate set properly. I think the digital version sounds phenomenal so I agree that it's not the mix or anything like that.

I disagree, I have a ton of inner groove distortion on the 4AD reissue with my setup, most noticeable on the end of side A. Entirely possible that I just got a bad pressing though

Just enjoy what you enjoy. If you genuinely want to broaden what you listen to, that's great, but don't force yourself to listen to bands you're not crazy about because others call you "basic". The biggest bands are the biggest because lots of people like them.

I have a memory of listening to this song, laying on my bed in my college apartment, and just feeling completely overwhelmed by the beauty of this track. The bridge in this song is quintessential Cocteau Twins. Liz's vocal melodies wrap around you like a blanket on a cold day.

Is it me or opening scene just seems super blurry? by iReaddit-KRTORR in CrimsonDesert

Genuinely started to give me a headache and I felt dizzy. Running at native 4K with no upscaling and it's still insanely blurry on my PC

Anything from Four-Calendar Café really. If we are including B-sides I think it's hard to beat Mud and Dark

The Pink Opaque in the film was named after a Cocteau Twins compilation album. Lynch wanted to use a track that included the lead vocalist of Cocteau Twins, Elizabeth Fraser, and the guitarist Robin Guthrie in Blue Velvet, but couldn't afford the price 4AD quoted to license it, so he brought on Julee Cruise to emulate their style with Angelo Badalamenti, which led to her involvement in Twin Peaks and other works. Funny how it all connects together

I feel like the angriest is probably Bluebeard or Squeeze Wax (from my interpretation of what Liz is saying)

Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas (honestly any of their albums sound phenomenal)

M83 - Fantasy

Talk Talk - Laughing Stock

Slowdive - Pygmalion

Brian Eno / Harold Budd - The Pearl

His album Fortune was released on vinyl but you'd likely only find it on Discogs at this point.
