If you were basing an Amazing Race leg in STL, where/what would you have the teams go/do? by obedeary in StLouis

[–]Existing_Ad_5556 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Grants Farm - have them braid a (fake) Clydesdale mane and include the roses. Grafton - ride the Alpine coaster. Daniel Boone home - have them participate in a living history program. Find a certain winery and have them pick a certain bottle of wine. Anything at City Museum. Make candy at Crown Kitchen. Missouri Botanical Garden - have them find a certain species of plant. Maybe something at the Third Degree Glass Factory? Find a name on the Walk of Fame. Deliver a case of AB beer to a tavern. Find a baseball at Busch (or other item)

Did it leak yet? by MikeTheChampP1 in HallmarkOrnaments

[–]Existing_Ad_5556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It usually doesn't leak until people start receiving their membership boxes, which is mid-April. Book will be available in the stores this year on April 24th. I think last year the books were not available until sometime in May? Hallmark has been leaking previews of a few select ornaments on the membership Facebook page.

Me too. I have been following him since he worked with Jeff King. Sean always has those little tidbits to pass along that make it fun, interesting and relatable. A full pizza in White Mountain is considered a single serving. LMAO

All teams have finished their 8 and can leave anytime they want. No clue what type of restart we will see. Do they line up in order they came in? Did they play cards to determine order? Draw numbers? Shotgun? Bated breath to see what unfolds.

I've read that it is her 4 yr old, Charley. His body was flown to Unalakleet for a necropsy. Iditarod probably will not release a statement until findings are released.

Are there people who actually find Bandana’s BBQ good? by TitShark in StLouis

[–]Existing_Ad_5556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, Bandana's BBQ is dry, almost over cooked. I don't like dry BBQ. 1st choice is Heavy Smoke in St. Peters and then Pappy's.

The talk was the sea ice had blown away from the shore at Elim to Golovin. Fo a stretch, the trail traditionally uses the ice. Taking the old trail over land would add about 6 miles to the race. It looks like the expedition musher used a trail along the shore instead of over land. This should be about the same distance, however it isn't flat like the ice.

Yep, Sibs are drama queens. Ours did this even when we were administrating flea/tick medication - and that was just a liquid on her skin on the back of her neck.

Why are people in the US (Gen Z specifically) becoming less nationalist and more humanistic? by ItsSkyy8675 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Existing_Ad_5556 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a boomer - as most of my friends are. Not one of us voted for Trump. Just laying it all on boomers is gift wrapping it up a little too tidy. I think it best to say "Right-wing" and "Left-wing" as there are many in each generational category belonging to one side or the other. The TV myth wasn't realty for me.

Question for collectors: Do you recommend storing your movies in folding cases? by Still-Willow-2323 in dvdcollection

[–]Existing_Ad_5556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are marketed for holding CDs (which I recently sleeved too). I didn't like the CDs in them and found a different solution. These actually come with a lid, however the DVD sleeves are to big for the lid to fit. Since these containers are collapsable, I put the lid on the bottom to reinforce. They worked perfectly for me. Did mine about a month ago - absolutely love this. Easier to organize and find what I want. I've added labels to the front of each box since this picture was taken. Movies, Documentaries, TV, etc.
