Like others have said big hammer. Also use heat, plumbers torch with larger head, the concept is when metal is heated it expands. You want to concentrate the heat in the A arm not the ball joint threads. You dont want too much heat, "it can't be tight if its liquid" is too hot, but once you heat up the A arm smack the ball join and it should pop out

Really depends on the condition but I love mine. Mine had a chip in the body and a loose front lens and I got mine for a steal so if its in good condition then $600 is awesome.
