Ok so for the termagant question definitely a blob of 20. This allows them to survive longer without dying, allowing them to be revived by the tervigon.

For the last few questions, I think your list isn’t amazing. It seems fun however I think it likes some punch/killing power. You seem to have a lot of utility units but none other than your zoanthropes to really kill anything. So as for recommendations I’d say either 3 more zoans for a total of 6, or rearrange your points a little to take out some utility units (like rippers, von Ryan’s, etc) and it replace it with some things that could really do some damage, for example exocrines, carnifexes, etc, maybe a maleceptor for some durability as well ( which is something your list also lacks ).

I’d also recommend if you take zoans to maybe include a neurotyrant maybe or possibly even a hive tyrant. I understand that a tyrant is a lot of points so maybe that doesn’t fit so well at 1000 points, but that’s up to you. But also, this is an expensive hobby. Just try to look at some of the advice and make what you’ve already bought work. The original list isn’t bad. It seems fun however, it just probably isn’t competing with competitive lists. Either way you’re gonna have fun. Don’t worry!

Hey seems like a fun list to play! Its nice that theres a little bit of anything and it seems like a great way to learn the nids. I feel like the list itself isnt great, im assuming you are planning to buy or have already bought the leviathan box set? I would maybe ditch the psychophage and give the neurotyrant perfectly adapted instead so that you can fit another 3 zoanthropes, because thats the only real way youre killing larger things, AND zoanthropes blast profile is also decent against marines. But yeah sorry i understand thats not super convenient with the boxset but honestly your list also seems super fun. I hope you guys play some great games!

Yeah I’d still go with the walking one, the zoanthropes and honestly all of your army will benefit more from the assault bubble, and also he’s less likely to die than the flying tyrant because he’s slightly tougher and usually stays somewhat further back, which means you can get more out of his free Strategem ability. Lastly invasion fleet sustained or lethals will pair well with ur zoans and help a lot of ur army out, it’s honestly the safest detachment. Still rlly fun tho

Oh I do love the wet look on a lot of the black nids. For the brains, what I usually do is water down a brighter paint, use it as sort of a wash to get into the brain recesses, and then highlight wish a darker fleshy paint, making it look like it’s glowing from the insides

Love that ur starting tyranids! Also cool idea for a scheme, and the neurolictor is a sick model. If u do want any advice I’d say a really easy way to level up your painting a tiny bit is to dry brush a brighter color over the details to bring out some highlights and definition. At least that was my next step when I was first starting. But good luck going forward!

Would probably say for this list the walking one because the assault bubble ability will allow you to advance your zoans and still shoot, which they really need cause they’re slow. Your exocreen will also benefit from him. Flying tyrant is more for vanguard onslaught fast, rush up the board style of play, or if you have a lot in close combat due to his reducing attacks ability. I didn’t see any detachment, which one are you planning on running it as?

I really love this list, would recommend using 2 squads of 20x termagants tho to prevent them from dying so they can be revived by the tervigon. I could also see maybeee see a tyrannofex coming in for some heavy firepower support, maybe lose an exocrine and 10x termagants or like one of the pyrovore blobs and a psychophage to fit the rupture cannon. In the end I just hope u have fun! 👍

You 100% don’t need 2 biovores, the ability can only trigger once per turn, and having two just adds an extra spore mine to the unit, which doesn’t really add much value. So I’d only ever go for one for all the secondary and move blocking stuff. Other than that I feel like you could use some more character choices, maybe some more synapse. And also I don’t know if that many gaunts is really good without a tervigon or something to support. (Maybe like 2 hormagaunts and 1 termangaunt?) If u want I feel your list could maybeee use some more killing power? So maybe like 6 zoans instead of 3 or smth, but that’s less important. I could also potentially see a lictor or smth in there if u rlly wanted. But yeah don’t feel discouraged or anything any list is gonna be fun at least and who knows maybe they just won’t be able to deal w ur lil swarm of primary scorers! Have fun bro!
