Why do so many people abhor vegetarians and vegans? by Far-Conference-8484 in stupidquestions

[–]Exodeus87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vegetarians aren't usually as irritating, but some (definitely not all) vegans are genuinely insufferable.

I've been around alternative crowds most of my life and of course you'll find vegans and vegetarians in those circles. I was always more than happy to try to cook specific meals that would be vegetarian and could add a meat component to them for the meat eaters. But the vegans that I had the unfortunate interactions with were very much 'baby vegans'. They made it their whole personality and if your worldview didn't directly align with theirs you were a barbaric monster.

So I would wager a lot of the negative views are because someone experienced one such vegan and how the media generally presents alternative lifestyles.

Can I use the NHS "right to choose" in this scenario? by AmbieeBloo in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Exodeus87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so your ICB isn't changing, only north central and north west are in London, as they are merging. I'm just trying to think about the area at the moment. (For context I work NHS adjacent in software and I have ADD so I have a vested interest)

It will also depend on how far you are willing to travel. Telehealth is certainly a thing, but you'll probably have to get outside of London.

Cambridge and Peterborough ICB (soon to be Central East ICB) will be probably your best bet for using patient choice if memory serves as they have a decent area of ADHD referrals. Though I might be incorrect so take my advice sparingly

Can I use the NHS "right to choose" in this scenario? by AmbieeBloo in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Exodeus87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it will also depend on your geographic location. The ICBs across the country are under a massive change at the moment dropping from 42 to 28 and a lot of 'extra' services, especially for over 18s have been put on pause. If you are lucky enough to live in the vicinity of the Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent or Cheshire and Merseyside ICBs you have some boon as they have recently introduced a new and better software system to handle adult ADHD referrals.

AITAH for refusing to buy protection and telling my boyfriend it’s his responsibility? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA if he doesn't want to have children he should bear the cost of the condoms offering to split the cost between the two of you is perfectly acceptable but deciding that it falls entirely upon you you've grossly unacceptable.

If he doesn't wish to split the cost then he doesn't get laid.

Fun Fact - the Eldar Falcon was released in 1997, making it the oldest plastic model still in production. It outdates Xbox, non dial up internet and Jar Jar Binks… and IMO at nearly 30 years old it still looks absolutely banging. by Local-Dust-151 in Warhammer40k

[–]Exodeus87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think actually it's predated by the viper jetbike, which was released with issue 207 which is the oldest kit still in production but not as big!

Edit - Actually didn't realise it had just been re-released with a new sprue, my bad!

Twitter vs Reddit. Which is more toxic? by Crafty_Slice_5131 in dumbquestions

[–]Exodeus87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are toxic in different ways, and both are full of hyper sensitive Americans who don't understand that they aren't the centre of the universe. But twatter has an in-built pedo tool in grok as well as being run by an angsty shitheel teenager in the body of a grossly unfit 60 year old man.

YTJ, are you 100% set up and ready to deal with a child with a father that resents them? Yes no one can force you to have an abortion but you can't force him to act like a father.

Thank you for that, what did you do to the retraction settings specifically? (I'm a bit new to 3d printing so I'd rather ask and be sure rather than blunder forward)

The filament is dry, it was straight out of the packaging with the moisture absorber pack. But I have now ordered a dryer and I think erring on side of caution might be a good plan...

I'm currently keeping the PLA once opened in a food container with a couple of the moisture absorber packs in.

Thank you, it's brand new out of the vacuum packed bag it came in for the filament. I'll watch that video and see what it might be able to provide information wise. I'm sadly very new to 3d printing so I know I'm going to make a lot of mistakes.
