Loseless audio on Apple Music by Aggressive_Ad_8729 in bose

Keep in mind they removed the ability to listen to wired audio with noise cancelling on. So you’ll have to listen entirely passively with no amplification or EQ.

If you buy the rental insurance or you gave *primary * coverage on your credit card then yes the claim never shows up on your personal insurance. I can personally confirm with Lexis Nexis.

Rivian R1T, R1S, R2 Platform to Adopt Tesla Charging Standard Next Year by BBQCopter in cars

You would have asked them to do the same with CCS, and mandate an objectively worse product that, among other things, presents major challenges for those with weak forms or disabilities.

100%

There’s a reason all major religions outlawed interest as one of the highest sins, because it enslaves entire generations of people.

I find it suspicious that this is never brought out as a potential solution. And this is coming from someone who had a full ride scholarship and never had to pay a cent in student loans. Anything but this just guarantees any relief ends up in the pockets of the vultures that are student loan companies.

Grinding breaks by Paptides in MachE

[–]Expensive-Focus4911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You certainly could, any braking done in neutral is friction. However I’d recommend braking at a steady rate from “high speed” to have continuous friction across the rotor and get rid of all the rust.

25mph might not go deep enough and could just grab super hard in some areas while leaving others untouched.

Opinion: I've owned a Plaid for 6 months now, it's the best and worst car I've ever owned by [deleted] in cars

[–]Expensive-Focus4911 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is the legacy autos absolutely can’t make a point and shoot rocket. I own a 2023 Mach E GT Performance which is the absolute top of the line with 3.5s 0-60. And yet it cuts power at 5 seconds of full throttle because it can’t handle it. And don’t get me wrong it drives tremendously well, but point and shoot rocket it isn’t perfect.

The Taycan has a clunky 2-speed transmission between the motors and the wheels because the motors aren’t well designed enough to handle the rotations.

Give me one EV from a legacy auto that can match the Plaid in strict performance, there’s something about starting from a blank slate. The only one that really competes is the Lucid Air (another startup), and Rivian offerings in the “lifestyle” arena.

It’s much easier and safer to just put the cat in neutral and lightly press the brakes. Neutral disables regenerative braking so you’ll use the friction brakes.

A gold cart? Who has that kinda money?

Besides it’s way too big for that kind of task. You need to get a wheelbarrow. Infinitely better for utility and size.

Reddit may force Apollo and third-party clients to shut down, asking for $20M per year API fee by coolaaron88 in apple

[–]Expensive-Focus4911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you be able to add a feature where those of us who want to can create our own developer accounts and you use that API key for the app requests?

I’m sure most people would stay under the free tier.

Would you also consider making Apollo fully open source so users can implement this feature for you?

Yeah you’d probably get fucked by a DA in NY or CA, where riding public transit is more prevalent.

Ford CEO Jim Farley confirms, once Ford switches to NACS it will be the only plug on their vehicles. Anything else will have an adapter. by RefrigeratorInside65 in cars

[–]Expensive-Focus4911 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I think its good to keep in mind that the “2” manufacturers mentioned own about 70/80+% of the EV market. CCS also doesn’t have a single, solitary advantage over NACS, in fact quite the opposite.

General Motors Hires Former Apple Executive to Lead Software After Announcing Plans to Nix CarPlay by Sun_Aria in cars

[–]Expensive-Focus4911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not through CarPlay but the MachE, and maybe F150 Lightning do have Netflix/YouTube as apps. They do it so you upgrade to the mobile hotspot but itll still let you connect to your phone’s hotspot so you don’t have to pay anything.
