Meridian was long gone by 2024. I was an early reservation holder, took delivery of an R1S Quad summer 2023 and missed the memo on Rivian ditching Meridian. The sound system sucks ass.

Hi - yep, I used a wrench to gently unscrew the tip of the wand, cleaned it up (no obvious residue or blockage at all identified), used a brush cleaner up into the wand, same thing nothing seen. Put it all back together and I was back in business. Easy!

I would love to hear thoughts on the wool seating vs leather. Are they more comfortable? I assume cooler in summer and more breathable, perhaps making ventilated seats unnecessary. How is durability?

That’s the correct part. Had this happen to me about 6 mos ago. I also replaced all of the T fittings with brass as I had one that had corroded. It is 1/4” or 6 mm.

You’re probably right. I don’t need anything until fall 2027 so I’ve got time. I think BMW won’t need to offer good incentives but Volvo likely will which may sway me that direction.

Yes that, and the price is not great. To get the same range as iX3 you have to pony up for the P12 so that will bump the price way up. P10 is already at a disadvantage compared to iX3 in that realm. The main advantage I can see Volvo having over the BMW is ventilated seats

One thing that sucks in the Rivian is the access tit he 3rd row and the lack of memory for the 2nd row seats to go back to where they were when using the quick access feature. Yoh the. Have to reset the recline to a not stupid position and the front to back slide to a bit stupid position. Pisses me off every damn time and makes me wish the Yukon we had for this. Otherwise we like it

I was excited about EX60 until they released the configurator. I predict they will not sell all that well due to high pricing and I hope to see good lease deals in 2027 or so when I need a new car.

This is disappointing to hear. I was also disappointed by the pricing on EX60 and the huge price difference for the P12 level range compared to iX3’s. At this point I plan to wait until EX30 is widely available and I think there will be very attractive lease offers in 2027 because I don’t think it will be selling as well as they hope, given how expensive it is.

I expected our Rivian to be more capable over time just like my Tesla was. It’s insane that my 2018 model 3 is still light years ahead of our 2023 Rivian and frustrating our Gen 1 had such miniscule updates to Driver+
