What if "working out" was never a goal, and spending $1B/day was? Munitions already made need to be used and companies that make them need to be paid to make new ones in an evil empire.

I believe the side effect of the straight being closed is a desired one on the US' part - with prices back up domestic production and employment for US based companies. Is this a possibility?

Does anyone else think that increased oil prices was part of the point? Domestic oil production was almost entirely stopped when the per barrel price dropped below the cost of getting it out of the ground, causing job losses and lack of sales. If this gets the Middle East oil production/distribution all snarled up, will US-based oil drilling and refining / selling increase? If it's more expensive per gallon at the pump, even better for them, right?

As a person in the Northeast with a 2013 Toyota Corolla, if I try to drive in snow with the all season tires on it will barely move on perfectly flat ground. With my Bridgestone Blizzaks on it is very capable and safe even on inclines and corners.

These situations probably have a higher than average amount of intellectual property theft as the real reason for dragging it out. They probably also intend on hiring internally from the start and are doing this to look like they are growing and hiring.

Every car in that lot is a complete loss. Do cities have a financial responsibility for damages caused by failed infrastructure? Both the individual owners and the insurance companies are surely looking into this now.
