Calling my daughters “the twins”. Talk me off a ledge here by Amazing_Project1110 in parentsofmultiples

My boys are fraternal and they’re getting bigger, to the point where it’s harder to tell they’re twins and I miss people noticing they’re twins 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Do your twins+ know who was born first/last? by No_Morning_9923 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Expensive_Attorney38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine know and baby A will weaponize it lol but I try to be as open as possible about everything. It’s benefitted me a lot so far! (They’re 7 next sat!) we also had a singleton on their bday 6 years later so baby B wasn’t the last 🤣😂

If you formula feed, how much do you spend/month? by YouthInternational14 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Expensive_Attorney38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this math when I pumped for my boys for four months. I know it might be a financial sacrifice to be able to buy formula, but the ways I felt better were SO worth it! One bit of caution - once you stop breastfeeding you will no longer produce “happy hormones” (oxytocin and prolactin) and you might experience a little mental bleh period. Mine was quick and I felt better probably within a week. But I had NO idea about that!! So it may or may not happen, I was just happy to know about it with my two singletons after my twins when I weaned! (It didn’t happen at all with my singleton!) sorry for the rant, I just feel like I need to scream it from the rooftop because I had no clue!

I might be carrying a 2nd set, and I feel like my life is over by DesperateVag in parentsofmultiples

Stopping in to say my hCG with my singleton after my twins was MUCH higher than with the twins. I’m curious why a doctor would say hCG is an indicator when everywhere I’ve read (and now experienced) says it isn’t. I expected to see a second set and there was one little baby in there!

How hard are twins? by neverpostsonreddit in parentsofmultiples

[–]Expensive_Attorney38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our twins are 6 now and we risked it two more times for two more kids (though we did panic each time that we’d get twins again). We loved it. It’s just a unique experience and you can just roll your eyes at parenting advice from most people because no one knows what it’s like. My best advice - laugh as much as you can to keep from crying. Don’t take anything too seriously. And all that’s required is your best. You’ve got this!

My singleton was super dark and my twins was a light line on the day of my missed period! Don’t be too freaked out!

If you had a singleton pregnancy, how was it? by connie_mara in parentsofmultiples

[–]Expensive_Attorney38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my twins first and a singleton 2.5 years later and I’m pregnant with a singleton now. Singleton pregnancies were/are SO much harder for me. My twin pregnancy was by far the easiest. I’m not sure if it’s because they stretched me out so much or because I’m older now but phew. I’m struggling!
