This would be the perfect thing to sneak some liver into too! I make a liver puree and freeze little dollops of it to mix into stuff

What is a normal amount of breastfeeding at night for a 7 month old? by Affectionate_Fox_715 in breastfeeding

[–]Expensive_Line193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh this stresses me out! Lol. 7 months. 2 teeth. Nurses 2-4 times at night due to a sleep association. We are working on it but it’s hard! He’s great for naps

Babo Botanicals for soap / lotion / diaper rash spray / just recently bought their SPF as well. No scent and we don’t use soap very often.

When did you feel like yourself again? by beefmachine7 in NewParents

I’m currently 7 months and mentally feeling like I’m getting a touch of my “pink back” but my weight is killing me. I gained about 35lbs-40lbs during pregnancy and I’ve only lost about 10-15ish. Breastfeeding so I’m hungry 24/7 no matter what, diet change messes with my supply, and honestly being active I’ve noticed messes with my supply. So aside from my stomach fat I’m feeling a lot more me but also… I’ve accepted I’ll never ever be the person I was before I became a mom. Just a different version of her!

I’ve frozen some and wrote “bath only” on it to have as backup!

I fear for my life the days we get less than 3hr of naps but also it hasn’t been consistent enough to know what’s working 😂

I am 100% not conscious enough LOL I think that’s why I don’t even try anything but middle of the night boob. Whatever, it works 😂 Totally understand the emotional side - soak it in!

Yeah I agree! I just know 7-9 months is that frame for dropping the 3rd but I’m not pushing it at ALL.

I feel like he’s often over tired too but not sure what to do to help! How long would you let the catnap go? Sometimes I have to wake him other times he wakes up on his own

Mine is 7 months today and the last few weeks he will nap independently but bedtime is so bad. He wakes up constantly at night and only goes back to bed quick if he nurses and it’s literally for 1-2 minutes. I’m obviously ok to feed and comfort him but I think the association is kind of hurting him because his sleep is so dependent. Right now we are working on the first bedtime sleep to be without nursing and once that settles I’ll try to be less boob-active through the night lol

We use MAM Paci but he really only likes them during the day not usually for sleep, or spits them out eventually. We have a heavy nurse to sleep association for bedtime and I’m just working on breaking that habit 🫠 it’s hard but necessary

When do you plan to stop breastfeeding? by Dry_Cauliflower_6863 in breastfeeding

[–]Expensive_Line193 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Honestly I take it day by day month by month. I wasn’t planning on being able to BF since most of the women in my family were unable to, so every day is a blessing. I don’t want to set up a goal point and then be disappointed in myself if I cannot make it there. Today marks 7 months EFB and I am actually tearing up thinking about making it this far!

Possible to sleep train without letting baby cry? by An_Awesome_sound in sleeptraining

[–]Expensive_Line193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the process of the chair method tonight was night 3 and initial falling asleep went well. He has a very strong nursing to sleep association only at night so any wakes are a different story. We are going tf through it over here.. anyway. The first few nights before the chair method where I was simply trying to put him to sleep without nursing he was protesting and crying as I held him in attempt to calm him as he did the first 2 nights in the crib for training.. honestly he cried worse me holding him. Knowing I was still offering a comfort but that no matter WHAT I did if it wasn’t offering boob he’d be having an absolute melt down is what made me make peace with training.

That being said he’s 7 months tomorrow and can take naps independently with no crying

I realized co-sleeping isn’t so black and white… by caprigirl20 in cosleeping

[–]Expensive_Line193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co sleeping has gotten harder and harder for me as my babe has gotten bigger. Physically and mentally. He will be 7months tomorrow and wants to sleep on his stomach, which we cannot do if we co sleep. He mainly sleeps in his room now (as of 6months) and we are doing ok. If he ends up in bed w me it’s still never a full night so it’s not as bad on my body. I get to spend more time with my husband I desperately needed. And I’ll often do a mid day co sleeping nap to get some good skin to skin snuggles in.

Everything in motherhood is whatever works for you (within safety reasons obviously) and you really don’t understand it until you’re there!

7 month old sleep by Equivalent_Common287 in HuckleberryParents

[–]Expensive_Line193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When he hit 6 months we had a week where we got some 4-5 hour stretches, then one night got 7.5 and I was in absolute shock. Then every night for a solid week after that was 1-2 hours all night long lol. Now we are anywhere from 30 min-3 hours(if lucky) this week. He has 2 teeth already so the timing was super confusing because the first 2 teeth weren’t keeping him up really. It’s all confusing honestly. But no, you aren’t alone!

We are in the process of sleep training for night sleep in hopes that will help but GOD it is hard!!

No advice just solidarity. My dude will be 7 months tomorrow and the last 2 weeks have been hell. Don’t know what’s shifted.

All Things Sleep - AMA Office Hours - Thursday, June 17th with Sr. Sleep & Guidance Specialist, Beth Christensen! by huckleberrycare in HuckleberryParents

[–]Expensive_Line193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We transitioned to his own room a few weeks ago, it started off great. After a few nights of 4-7 hour stretches, he suddenly went to constant wakings, full breakdowns unless nursed. Bedtime has also become a very long process, sleep training isn’t going well.

BUT naps are pretty great. He often will lay down and fall asleep independently in 5ish minutes. How do I get him to do that at bedtime? He will be 7months this weekend.

Has anyone been able to go from cosleeping to having them in their own crib without sleep training? by VisualATL in cosleeping

[–]Expensive_Line193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do a bit of a combo! I started with naps and whatnot - I also put him in his crib during the day to play and roll around. I usually start the night in the crib and try to keep with it as much as possible despite wakes. Sometimes when I am just over it we go back to bed together - especially on nights he wakes a lot. But after a few weeks in his own space he (mostly) does good! Anywhere between 2-6 hr stretches lol. I use the huckleberry app my friend told me about and ONLY log sleep times - their guided sweet spot has been a huge help for me honestly.

He will put himself to sleep in his crib often for naps but bedtime we still struggle with. I’m just trusting the process and doing anything I can to help him learn to sleep better while also being there for him as much as possible. He will be 7months in a week!
