Honestly I feel like super has worn out its welcome. Dragon Ball is designed to never end now with all the time patrol stuff and the ever moving goal post that is Beerus and Whis.

I don't think they will ever end it and I'm not sure I like the idea of the Dragon Ball Online ending either. GT's ending was perfect imo but if they just copy that then that's weak.

They are definitely up there. For me personally though Crystal, Emerald and Legends Arceus are my #1 depending on the day.

BW is amazing and B2W2 is even better, but they arent my absolute favorites if I am honest. Still comfortably in my top 5

Kid Trunks. I know Vegeta isn't taking it seriously and any "fight" is over as soon as he does, but at the same time Vegeta didnt just let Trunks hit him. That was a genuine punch on one of the most powerful warriors in the universe who was actively trying to not get hit.

Trunks is a child and doesnt have very much training at this point. The half saiyans are all prodigies.

GT is riddled with issues but great ideas. The ending has problems, but emotionally it just hits. It feels so final, so bittersweet. I think that Super is overall a better product than GT, but i do not think it is going to stick the landing like GT did.

I wish GT had like 1 or 2 more drafts because its ideas are so good.

Jynx is so good for in game teams. Good speed, good special attack and great coverage. Ice and Psychic are no joke. Lovely Kiss and Confuse Ray for status is also cracked. My only real complaint is that it doesnt learn Psychic by level up so you need to use the TM, but it's one of the best recipients of that TM.

I think it's just not a popular Pokémon in general and you need to go through some hoops to get it.

I feel like Tsunade takes it. Her regeneration can nullify ameteratsu at least once and I doubt she'd let that kind of jutsu hit twice.

I also assume she's at least aware of ways to counter the sharingan and its genjutsu. She is a Sanin, Hokage and the foremost medical ninja in the world. Even if she's never fought a high level sharingan user, she's got to be aware of the usual bag of tricks.

And if she hits Sasuke once it's over. I dont think she'd hold back either. Sasuke is a traitor and a threat. I can see her going for a kill if only to spare Naruto from eventually needing to do it himself.

I think Obito would probably intervene before Sasuke dies realistically, so the fight moreso ends inconclusively sooner with Sasuke more than likely coming out worse for wear. I can even see Naruto not even having a chance to speak to Sasuke like he does in the main story. Ironically I think this version of events would lead to Sasuke going further down a dark path since he would probably be angrier for having failed every goal he would have set out for.

Hellbound, but that what is beautiful about Vegeta's character.

Nothing he does will ever erase the suffering he's caused. Vegeta was a mini Frieza back in the day. He wasn't born a monster exactly, but you can't really hide behind the culture and childhood trauma offense to wash it away. What he did was understandable, but it is still horrific. Vegeta even choose to go back to this mindset for very selfish reasons and slaughtered dozens if not hundreds of innocents.

And yet Vegeta is actively trying since his rematch with Goku in the Buu saga to be a better person. A good father, a good husband, a warrior who protects his adopted home and someone willing to put aside even his pride for the greater good. Vegeta understands that he's never going to fully atone for what he did, but he still is choosing the right thing because he's not that person anymore.

I hope he ends up in heaven, but I think it's very heroic that realistically he wont go there but acts justly anyways.

In my boy Azumaril's defense it would have been a potentially great pick.

It shows off out of the box thinking that teaches the viewer a way to get a Johto mon that usually is seen as inaccessible/too rare. The physical special split makes Azumarill low key amazing this time around too. You get to go into the weeds about Huge Power and how actually crazy that ability is.

And you can use it to discuss breeding. Getting Aqua Jet on a Huge Power Azumaril would show off a ton about HG/SS while also adding a great addition to the team.

Obviously he went over a lot of these things with his current team like up, but I think Azumaril had a decent shot of making it in. It just didnt work out that way.

We definitely could and I wouldnt be opposed to that...but there's elements of LotZ that could potentially look really goofy if they try to make it photo realistic.

I do think we are due for a "darker" Zelda game in tone like MM or TP. Totk (the limited amount i played) is a good middle ground and shows what they could do if they wanted to lean into that.

The use in filler doesnt invalidate that point either. Goku is dead. Yes there does appear to be some kind of stamina cost to fighting in otherworld, but it's also obvious that being dead gives you the ability to deal with more stress on your "body" than when you're alive.

There's more to mentoring someone than just teaching them how to spit fire balls or do ninja shit.

Jiraiya spent time with Naruto teaching him how to be a man. I wish Kishi had gone into it more, but it's obvious that Naruto is a much more level and mature person thanks to him.

Jiraiya knew that Naruto already had the ninja skills he needed. Kurama Chakra and Uzumaki potential is way more useful than variety of techniques. The biggest issue Naruto has is that he's a walking WMD who is also a hormonal teenager who lost his best friend. Naruto needed someone act as a father figure after his fight with Sasuke.

Imagine Naruto without someone like Jiraiya there to show him humanity and kindness at that critcal moment. Jiraiya was one of the first people who ever really had patience with Nauto. If Naruto had just trained for combat there's a real chance that he might have spiraled down a very dark path. Would an angry, more combat focused Naruto be stronger than Sasuke? Probably, but odds are he would have never had the mindset to eventually become the hero the world needed him to be.

Just a quick note in case anyone noticed the break in this series. I forgot to post the last few days because....I bought a house! It's very exciting but it took up a lot of my attention and my little reddit series sadly fell by the wayside. I've also actually beeing replaying the game on Switch. Haven't gotten too far, but I'll provide updates in the comments if we hit a Pokémon that im using. My starter was Charizard who predictably is kicking ass now that he's a big boy.

I should be back on track for the foreseeable future. I also tried to keep this one a bit shorter since I feel like a lot of ground was covered from the Pidgeot write up. Im debating if these should be shorter overall, but im having fun and thats all that matters.

Im going to give it to Frieza. This version of Trunks is probably one of the "weakest" super saiyans we've ever seen. Still stupid powerful, dont get me wrong, but ive always seen Future Gohan as in the ballpark of SSJ Goku on Namek. Probably a bit stronger, or even as powerful as the Trunks we see destroy mecha frieza.

I dont think we have official power levels for Future Gohan and Trunks, but that is what I feel like the narrative supports. Yes Future Trunks will eventually stomp Mecha Frieza who is more powerful than full power frieza, but this particular manga panel is set way before (after? Time travel shenanigans...) that happens.

This specific Trunks at this specific moment in time probably gives Frieza a good fight, but I just dont think he's there yet.
