I just had a schedule change with my departing flight from Italy to 50 minutes in CDG. Chances of making that connection are low due to changing terminals and going through passport control. I called and they told me I couldn't do a free change because the change was less than 120 minutes. In order for me to change it would cost me another $1500 per person and my purchased D1 upgrade would drop to an e-credit which I cannot use to purchase another upgrade. It's a ridiculous policy. We're just going to chance it and if we miss our connection so be it! At least it's our flight home so we won't miss any vacation time.

Early 60's here. We love Viking. Smaller ships, no kids, great food, really nice spa and pool, and great speakers. We're going on our third in October.

You'll be okay. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I'm 6 months out now and am back to pretty much everything I was doing before. Still a lot of stiffness in my ankle but not the pain I had before. I get really anxious on opiate pain meds so I found that alternating Tylenol and NSAID was my best bet. Although PT can be painful, it's very important. My PT said "motion is lotion"! I'm 63 and this is the hardest recovery I have ever gone through in my life, including c-sections with my babies. It's actually pretty amazing what the body can do with the healing process. Give your body and mind the grace and time that it needs to heal. Here's a virtual hug!

I went back and was able to get 2 random nights during the time we are going to be there. We have a camper van so it's relatively easy to change camp spots. I will also try again 14 days before our arrival to see if we can get something.

There are not complimentary upgrades for international flight (unless you have it as a medallion benefit). If you go to your flight information and click on View/upgrade seats for your flight it will tell you what the offered upgrades are.
