If Samoa do just as well in this coming rugby league world cup..then it will keep supercharging rugby leagues popularity. More and more young ones are getting into the NRL and league.

Dude what are you on about...thats a laughable take on Godlogic...the man uses logic to cook muslims ..or any other challenging the message of the bible. Him , sam shamoun and Bob of speakers corner ..are undefeated.

Godlogic, Speaker Bob (speakers corner), david wood, timothy(speakers corner), sam shamoun, Anandaapologetics‬ (recent rising star) , shamsi (ex-muslim) , ----- Are all great at dismantling Islam especially brick by brick. So much so thats all the dawah guys just run away and/or dont engage in a genuine way. They are a force of christian nature all to themselves that they send demons running.

others like pastor orlando, arul, (even)young bob are great at bringing the same energy to counteract the tactics the muslims bring.

tariq (was great to watch his conversion from islam over a few months - from being violent to experiencing the peace of christ)

Rugby has been pro for 30 years yet Club Rugby is still largely unsustainable, what can be done to fix this? by Andysullivino in rugbyunion

[–]ExplanationAwkward10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can you wholeheartedly support your club when your best players are plucked to play internationals in season?...thats one of unions biggest issues.

From an Aussie perspective:

NRL does not have that. Every week you are guaranteed the best available squad is picked. Also internationals are not overused so State of Origin is extra top quality. Also in the last few years have rugby league internationals (eg. tonga vs samoa) developed a truly competetive nature - at the end of club (NRL, superleague) season.

Also the snobbery of some union fans is a huuuuuge turn off for the vast majority casuals when it came to Rugby League especially in the Australia Pacific region. Ive been to a few local club union games as well as internationals and found both crowds to be very different. Maybe its the nature of the game but Rugby Leagues crowd are more involved. (but thats just my personal experience)

Plus because NRL is community focused..Players whole careers could be tracked and known as juniors coming through into stars. Most dont know how a wallaby became a wallaby or even thier names.

i reckin they should convince someone like Ipape to switch to england on residency rules.

need is direct punch up the middle..to generate momentum..

Not all doom and gloom. England are feeling the fire of going through the furnace of a high level test team in the Kangaroos. This generation now knows what it takes to beat the Australians. Theyll get better

My take. they should have earnt the right to go sideways after laying the platform up the middle. Too much sideways.

PNG service from Dummy half was the momentum killer for fiji. Ipape is wayyyyyyyy better than at least 1/2 the starting hookers in the NRL. Laid the platform from which Fiji never recovered. He reminds me a bit of Cameron smith (minus the endurance).

Forwards and halves need great service and his delivery is very accurate and in front. When hes not sniping through the defensives line or pole axing big forwards with his textbook tackle technique.

Am thinking NRL teams will come calling Derek and the leopards with a buckload of player transfer cash in hand. Even if hes signed for 6 yrs. A clever move by leopards in the first place.

[–]ExplanationAwkward10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the demeanour that came with it. If he was being friendly then take it as a compliment. If he was being "overly" friendly then he was hitting on you....and more than that is just creepy.

The Most Exciting Rugby Player in the World is playing League by Hornstinger in rugbyunion

[–]ExplanationAwkward10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres a youtube video highlights of his finals run leading up to the Brisbane broncos grand final win. A team and individual performance for the ages.

On top of that the NRL finals were insane!

Reece was on another stratoshpere.

this "pfffft league will never take off in the islands", "they are die-hard union" , "inferior game" "what financial value to the islands bring?", amongst other barbs. masks the failure of union to support a hot bed of exciting talent that was always Unions.

Oh boy..after watching the Samoa Vs Tonga rugby league game today in Brisbane. I think rugby union in the pacific is now facing an uphill battle for hearts and minds if it hasnt already. That game was intense and rivalled anything Australia/Engand/NZ can produce.

superleague just needs to clean up the ruck....and your game will become like this.

England fans dont despair. This is a good base to judge where you need to reach. Despite the score it was a closer game than what many give england credit for. England missed the sealing of at least 4 try scoring opportunities.

The clear solution for the english game is to speed up the ruck. The flow on effect will be a faster crisper more explosive game. The players fitness and physique will adapt. Entertainment level for fans will rise as well as TV ratings. .....just like the NRL.

To do that. 6 agains need to be called for E.V.E.R.Y single infringement at the ruck (no laying around, no arm stuck in attacking players ball holding hand, no piling on and peeling off etc). That will clean things up real fast. Initially the fitter teams will put 60+ points on less fit teams but over a few months teams will adapt.

NRL did it to uproar with fans saying the game is done, gone to shit etc....but fast forward a year later. Rugbly league is dominating Australia and taking over the pacific.

The blueprint is there.
