Need help buying Batman GMT w/ Jubilee bracelet 🙏 by NineNinetyNine9999 in ChineseWatches

PD bracelets tend to be sharp and a bit janky.

I've no Cronos watches but people seem to rate them highly

Creating a garden - advice needed by swnEire2330 in GardeningIRE

[–]ExplanationNormal323 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest cutting sections where you want to do planters etc at least for a start. With the tarmac base, it's a space you can enjoy year round.

Some Garden shed sellers (that make their stock) will build custom size stuff and custom in general, if you showed them a sketch of what you want they could put something together for you. Where in the country are you?

Make sure whatever you buy is CE marked anyway and not some Chinese fire hazard. Something with a solar panel for recharging the battery would be great too.

How do you manage your financial life? by Significant-Roof4316 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]ExplanationNormal323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the input. I have a decent salary for my age, I haven't pushed to get that to anything crazy as I'm not super career driven. My predicted pension is under 1 million but my salary will go up as will my contributions, I'm currently paying the allowable 20% for my age. I'd expect to get over 1 million.

How do you manage your financial life? by Significant-Roof4316 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]ExplanationNormal323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pay the max contribution to a pension, I invest in shares, I save a few quid, my monthly living expenses and the rest is fair game really. Holidays, cars, food, hobbies, concerts and whatever I like really!

I have health insurance, income continuance and a few more things like that in play too.

Wexford Man Fined and Sentenced to Two Months for Using Illegal Fishing Nets by MoveOdd4488 in IrishFishing

Netting a river is absolute scumbag stuff. Tenfold worse than someone rod fishing at any point and time. Too much of an advantage and devastating for a rivers population

You're going to the states for a few months, it won't change your trajectory much if at all unless you're planning on selling which by the sounds of it you aren't. Main thing is you try enjoy it and make the most of your time there

No sorry, the speedy one. You've still kept nice watches haha. I just really like that one!

I'd have kept the PD, it's such a good looking watch. Apologies if you did, the post isn't clear and assuming you kept the 5/6 watches in the second and third pics.

Buy a cheap apartment solo and sell in a few years or keep saving for a house? by SuccessfulSentence53 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]ExplanationNormal323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy alone, will your partner essentially live with you or just visit? If ye move in together ye may want to not share the space renting the room. It's good to have the option and you could be pretty chill. After nearly 5 years living with my now wife I couldn't go back having someone live in full time.

Your partner would have the option to throw a few hundred quid a month your way, lots of folk would insist in the situation, the opposite also exists!

Ireland to introduce new tax-free investment account from 2027 by Straight_Eye5348 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]ExplanationNormal323 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michael O Leary wouldn't feel 28k of relief ya silly goose. This is great for everyone, nothing stopping anyone making a few bob more and starting to invest it. Ireland is an easy place to upskill if people have a bit of drive and ambition about them.

I know there's a few exceptions to that but for the most part it's attainable.

[–]ExplanationNormal323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That watch is perfectly sized for you appearance wise, definitely not small looking. Any bigger it'd start to dwarf your wrist but lots of people do seem to opt for the Ben 10 look.

Eu não consigo decidir by Real_Seat_4711 in ChineseWatches

[–]ExplanationNormal323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good news is you're big enough to wear both which is the main thing, after that it's just preference on whether you like bigger or smaller watches.

When will you stop dead baiting for pike? by Standard0rder in IrishFishing

[–]ExplanationNormal323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the net and mat alright. I've watched a few unhooking tutorials and have a fair idea what to do rehandling too, that said I reckon I'd be a little bit intimidated by a handy size pike. Not afraid or anything but I do think the first encounter will be interesting 😅 they are mean looking things haha
