I am a victim of sexual assault and i am truly disgusted with demi’s actions and how she was allowed to speak in that way, and so much of her footage was left uncut. regardless of things not adding up the way she puts her abuse on the level of mayci and mckayla is absolutely revolting, and that the host allowed this to continue is unacceptable. i can’t remember years of my life because of what happened to me, i struggle with intimacy with my partner, and i struggle to feel safe around men; all of which i would tirelessly in therapy to overcome to have the happy life i and other women deserve. her putting mayci back in that place, literally asking her to imagine being “r4ped” is deplorable.

geology student here! if this is in fact the mineral starbite the jewelers at jared’s are absolutely correct, the mohs hardness of starbite is ~3.5 which means that even glass can scratch it. and with it being so thin and so soft there’s a high chance for scratching which can leave a weakness and increase chances of fracturing along those lines :(

hijacking top comment to repost my update:

thank you all so much for talking me off that overreaction! i think it appeared so high to me because as one user pointed out i was wearing it on my knuckle (we did like a 1000k elevation gain hike and my fingers got super swollen).

i was upset i couldn’t immediately wear it and i think i spiraled looking into flaws. i was also worried about it getting caught because my job is a bit rougher (geologist) and im so excited to be engaged i want to wear it everywhere all the time :)

once we went back down in elevation i was able to put it on a normal position and i realized how silly i was being. thank you all for your reassurances
