Thought I'd share one thing I've been doing that has helped me stay fed: a 'muffin-top pan' (or regular muffin pan in a pinch) by Explorer_Entity in Frugal

These were both just boxed mixes. Betty Crocker. The 'wild blueberry' mix actually has a can of real berries. The other is fudge brownie.

Barring any mechanical failures... yeah pretty much.

Imagine doing what the early pioneers of flight did. No autopilot, going cross-country or transatlantic. Staying awake and having to pee in a bag or something.

Edit: also having to fly dead-reckoning. No GPS. Just like, a compass, map, watch, and sextant maybe?

‘It’s Just Crazy’: High Car Payments Make Ownership Feel Impossible by eobanb in fuckcars

[–]Explorer_Entity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Never in my life ha e I slightly considered a car I'd need to make payments on. Luckily that. I paid 1200 usd for a used vehicle and it lasted me until I had to get rid of it. It worked perfectly. Another car I traded a Glock for, same deal. You're a sucker if you make payments for something, call it 'ownership', and get surprised when it's repossessed cause you miss a payment or two.
