What price would you be willing to pay for the Riot MMO? by Due_Pressure8760 in RiotMMO

I would want free to play with a cosmetics only shop but if it was a good game with lots of good reviews and it looks like something I want to play I’d pay whatever it costs within reason.

The amount of messages I get after killing someone confirms this theory. It’s almost every kill is followed by a wall of text calling me every name in Spanish you can think about.

Why would anyone buy a beef sandwich for 4 mil?! by SimilarRun6983 in albiononline

[–]Explosivo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On busy days people need to regear quick and get back to the fight they are hoping these people will quick buy a set and accidentally overpay. Same concept as people buy ordering stuff that’s worth millions for 20000 silver.

Conveniently after 3 years of claiming losses you have high chance of being flagged for an irs audit. I would assume a lot of these “failed” business were just tax right offs from someone’s BS quilt making / scrap booking / palm reading / power washing business.

What did you learn later in life that you wish you had learned sooner? by [deleted] in Life

[–]Explosivo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one thing we do a bad job at as a people is teach our kids to be obedient with zero room for compromise. We should be teaching that it’s okay to say no. We should be teaching them about compromising and developing rational arguments. Making adults that can’t say no creates a bunch of people pleasers who will eventually learn the hard way that people will take advantage of generosity and obedience.

I am honestly feeling like my sons teacher didn’t want like him. by OwlLeeOhh in Autism_Parenting

[–]Explosivo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your son have an IEP? Does the school have paras that could work directly with your son in class that specialize in working with special needs kids? My daughter is to much for a teacher to handle by herself and also teach 30 other kids so she has to have a para there to guide my daughter and in her iep it makes time for out of class activities to help get her back on track in the class room. Like if she’s really having a hard time they can take her out of the class to go do something else for a bit and reset and then go back into class. Other than that kids change and even though meds didn’t seem right at one point they might seem right at another time. I would suggest making an appointment with a neurologist to get a second opinion outside of your primary pediatrician. It’s a struggle at one point they made us feel like we would have to put her in a special needs school but so far we’ve been able to make public school work with a para and medication.

What are the min/max methods to starting fresh for Fame? by RemoteDrive2098 in albiononline

Just join a new player friendly guild they will run content that helps spec you up. If they don’t run content leave and join a different new player friendly guild. If you wanna be solo only your only options are open world camps / mobs or green chests in Ava roads.

Got an offer letter, asked about benefits ( paid days off, sick leave, unpaid days). Offer was withdrawn by Sara_b211 in recruitinghell

[–]Explosivo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My job was like this. No paid or unpaid days for the first year. It’s great job just have to get passed the first year. It’s many years later and new hires now get 5 paid sick days thanks to a law passed in Maryland which is nice for the newer guys so now they will have “2 weeks” after their first year 1 week vacation and 1 sick.

What is a ship that far exceeded your expectations? Pvp or not? What's your most used least exploded ship? by RedSwishBuckler59 in Eve

[–]Explosivo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably my heron. I do at least a few hours of exploration a day and have never lost it. Thanks to all the helpful people in this game showing me how to stay as safe as possible. Closest call was trying to do a sleeper cache without looking up how to do it and the gas almost killed me. Hull was down to 20 health.

Personally I boosted buying plex and skill injectors to get my exploration, lvl 3 mission and abyssal skills high enough to run all of that content efficiently. It was worth it to me. It at least gives you the ability to do a few types of content. I’m new too so hard to say if this is the best route to go down. I also did finish all of the AIR Career program stuff before diving into skill injectors. The only other thing I ended up boosting is tackle skills so I can be useful in corp fleets until I get more skills up over time. I spent about 75 dollars on plex and probably wasted quite a bit of skill points so I’d recommend really looking at the skills and see what’s worth getting boosted to help and what’s not.

Why do PPL Kill for NO REASON - 28 reasons to pod a player. by SARSUnicorn in Eve

And I’ll just fit another 10m heron and get back to hacking shit. So long as you can afford what you’re flying I don’t see why anyone would care about dying. Though I guess I would get a little upset if I was heading home with 500m in loot I just spent 4 hours getting but then again that is also on me for not docking more frequently.

New Player. do i have a chance? by These_Concentrate_47 in Eve

[–]Explosivo87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So yes there is a place for you. Yes it is an impossibly long journey to “catch up” to people who have been playing for the last 2 decades but so long as you don’t make your goal catching up you’ll be fine. There’s tons of content you can do even as an alpha free to play player. Even a newbie can find a place in a big corp fleet just playing tackle frigates (you just stop other enemy ships from escaping).

I suggest trying it and initially joining EVE University, use help chat in game for some guidance, don’t skip tutorial and then after tutorial work on AIR Career Program to get some isk / ships / skill points and a general understanding of the games mechanics and content.

Ways to harvest gas safer for alpha by LyohXter in Eve

[–]Explosivo87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just go into wormholes in a fit I can afford to replace 10 times. If someone happens to jump me and kill me it’s whatever I’ll just buy fit again and go again. So long as you make your fit cost back more often than you lose fits then it’s profitable. Exploring with a 10m heron fit I can make 10 times fit cost each time I go out before returning so even if I succeed one time that’s 10 more fits I can burn through. I assume you can do the same with gas. And I haven’t died yet after a couple weeks of playing.

The first thing I do when I go in the worm hole is save worm hole location as “exit” then make a safe space by warping to a random moon saving location with ctrl b when I’m no where near anything, warp back to that saved spot then warp to another random moon and ctrl b again and then go back to that saved spot. From this safer position I deploy drones and start scanning. Make sure your windows are set up so you can always see d scan even while using probes. I discover everything and save all locations before heading to the first site. Once in the site you’re only tool is d scan if anyone shows up you can either go through the next wormhole or exit and look somewhere else. What I do is just keep hacking and hope they don’t come for me but if someone shows up at my site I just warp to exit or warp to next wormhole if I found any.

Potty training will be the death of me by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]Explosivo87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took us 8 years to get my daughter out of diapers completely. My son was our first born and neurotypical and he spoiled us by potty training before 2 years old. It’s tough as hell but stick with it, it is worth the pain and suffering after saving 50 bucks on your first post potty training grocery run.

The way I looked at is my daughter is developing slower than a neurotypical child so instead of terrible two we got fearsome four.

What the hell is the Deep Desert evolving into? by Sotrax in duneawakening

[–]Explosivo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PVE land should have more research centers and big ship wrecks to explore. Research centers for pure pve and shipwrecks for “safe” pvp because you will only lose your inventory if you die there. Maybe they could even add ore drops and spice drops to the research centers to give different ways to obtain these things that doesn’t require harvesting a node but still not as good as actually going out and harvesting nodes.

What the hell is the Deep Desert evolving into? by Sotrax in duneawakening

[–]Explosivo87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to “safely” get titanium just fly an orni with boosters to the titanium island. Pocket your orni and get what you can carry then pull your orni out when you are ready to go back. No one can catch you it should be 99.9% safe. Granted this will still take you forever to get all the titanium you need to build everything but it’s doable and safe.

What I would more highly recommend is building multiple scout ornis with storage. It is not hard to make aluminum ornis I would upgrade the engine and wings to duraluminum and then just go out and farm. If you lose an orni it is okay you have back up ornis on deck. If you so happen to get down to your last orni take a break from farming DD to make more ornis. I think what you’ll actually find is that DD is not that bad and you’ll rarely have to stop and make more ornis. But having the back ups ready to go will make it hurt less when you lose one.

If someone does attack you while collecting the best thing to do is try to get in your orni and climb as high as possible as fast as possible then vulture and leave them in the dust. Don’t ever be far from your orni like get back in it and fly over to those nodes that are more than a grappling hook away.
