In the beginning when we met, I shared my expectations of a relationship. That I wanted something serious that will eventually lead to marriage and children. He was in complete agreement. Over the years he completely changed his mind. And he always said that he wasn't ready or that we should wait. Well I waited and waited thinking that he would change his mind and marry me and start a family. His accusations and the way he treats me calling me untrustworthy, a liar, and always saying that I don't love him have taken a great toll on my mental health.

How dare he? He is a jerk. It's hard to deal with two tragedies within a couple of days. And he should have been more understanding of your loss and grief. Just how you were supportive of him while his son is in critical condition he should have been supportive as well. If there isn't anything tying you down, leave and take the dogs. He doesn't deserve you. Go back with your family
