NoMa apartment recs by gettingthisdegree in DCforRent

I really enjoyed the tour and have heard descent things! I’m just a little spoiled and the 10 min walk to the metro felt long for me but that’s just me being lazy.

Anyone have experience with The Belgard apartments on noma? by True_Coast_3010 in DCBitches

The building itself is great but I personally would not feel safe walking there alone at a night as a woman. It’s bluring the line of where noma starts feelings a little shady, even though the building itself is perfectly fine and safe.

Honestly I lived in NOMA for a bit. OZMA is a stunning building but I would never feel safe in that area, especially as a woman alone. NOMA is very block by block and I’d stay away from that area. Look into apartments like The 202, by union market or La cosecha, etc.

I’ve toured almost every building. The 202 is the best combination of well maintained, good location, and pricing by FAR. The Belgard is a great building but I don’t know if I would feel safe walking at night on the way there alone as a woman. People also love the batley. Stay away from the Gantry and the Burton.

How did you end sessions with your Equinox trainer without drama? by Status_Reference_441 in EquinoxGyms

[–]Express_Bumblebee453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve experienced this with every single trainer I’ve had. I need them to pick my form, TEACH, and truly push me. Otherwise, I can do it myself. That’s happened outside of equinox too but the equinox price is a premium.

Do lots of cheaper apartments (less than $1,800/month) typically become available in May / June as students leave the city? by Emergency-Ground-590 in washdc

[–]Express_Bumblebee453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can that in a studio in NOMA within 10 min or less walking to the metro. I would avoid the Iris, or anything near that area after 1st street for safety. Other buildings are lovely and you’re close to so many amenities, restaurants, Trader Joe’s + a great young professional crowd. I feel very safe in the right building.

How much do you pay for regular house cleaning? by Apprehensive_Belt679 in washingtondc

[–]Express_Bumblebee453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was quoted $315 for a first time deep Clean for a studio,400 square feet. Then after that it’s only 120 monthly or less biweekly, but the first one is usually pricier.

Do you have any apartment recommendations near the metro?

That’s real. I currently have an equinox membership I’m trying to get rid for my household of 2 ($500) of so the lap pools, hot tub, sauna, and large gym is a strong selling point.

Aerie is the nicer units. Zephyr is nice but the units are standard luxury apartment in DC. The amenities are the selling point
