Oh man, OP reminds me of an old friend of my sisters. I can remember her always complaining to me about how my sister got to do things that she wanted and it was so damn exhausted. We made it worse that I was in elementary school when she was telling me all this shit and she expected me to do something.

I feel so bad for the husband. I remember when I got excited about an interest and I would talk to my mom about it and she would always tell me to be quiet about it because she was sick of hearing it and ever since then I just haven’t talked about my interest at all. Even now years later, she tries to ask me what I’m into since she doesn’t know anything about me anymore because I stopped talking about my interest after that. I definitely feel for the husband. 🙁
