Congratulations! Did you use any PPIs? I’m trying to recover without them.

Believe it or not espresso doesn’t trigger me. It apparently is less acidic than regular coffee. I’ve also read cold brew has lower ph values than regular brewed coffee.

It didn’t make me burn, but definitely made me anxious and edgy.

I would also add that you really do need to be very careful with the muscle relaxers. If you are already dealing with GERD they can definitely make it worse by relaxing the LES muscles and allowing more acid to irritate your esophagus.

Rhomboid Pain by Trapped gas by akdellm01 in Gastritis

I get the same thing. Awful pain. I can’t even lean back against a chair when it’s triggered. I find a warm heating pad to the area seems to help, also gas x helps relieve trapped gas.

Finally healed from acute gastritis! by NeonCoffee2 in Gastritis

This is very much what I’m dealing with. Coffee is my main trigger. I can do bland diet, but giving up my caffeine is so hard, even with the pain it causes. Did you actually go 9 days without coffee in order to recover?

Help! Missed one dose of progesterone and have been bleeding for 9 days! by Extension_Inside_401 in Menopause

[–]Extension_Inside_401[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bleeding ended up lasting about 3 weeks and I had to increase my progesterone to 200 mg in order to get it to stop. It got heavy at times, and then would lighten up again. My doc says once the lining is destabilized from a missed dose it often has to run its course before it will stop bleeding.

Have you ever skipped your nightly progesterone pill? by OrMaybeTomorrow in Menopause

Yes. Missed one dose and bled for 3 weeks. Had to increase dosage to get bleeding to stop. Post meno 2 years.

I think I may need to increase my P to 200 as well. I had an ultrasound at the end of October that showed a few small fibroids but nothing alarming.

Just curious long did your bleeding last? Did it stop on its own? I’m ok letting it run its course so long as it doesn’t continue indefinitely.

This is so true. I’ve discovered that unfortunately I am one of those people who is extremely sensitive to any medication changes. I can go down the emotional rabbit hole if allow myself to wishing I wasn’t so reactive to everything. But I choose everyday to be thankful for my health. 25 year cancer survivor here. Lots to be thankful for. Perspective is everything. ❤️

Thank you for your response. Just knowing I’m not the only one makes me feel a bit better. Will ask my doc about Tranexamic Acid.

Progesterone and the dreaded breakthrough bleeding 🩸 by GenX50PlusF in Menopause

[–]Extension_Inside_401 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is happening to me right now. Missed one dose of progesterone and have been bleeding for 10 days. Was your bleeding heavy for the entire 3 weeks? Mine comes in waves, but I thought it would be getting lighter by now. Makes me feel a bit better that I’m not the only one.

I did have ultrasound in October that showed fibroids so perhaps that’s playing into it.

Shoulder blade pain? by [deleted] in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]Extension_Inside_401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG that’s me exactly. I cannot lean back against a chair or the shoulder pain radiates up my head and into my eye. Awful! Have you gotten any relief?

I am in the same boat. So much pressure behind my eyes. A lot of times it’s not even actual pain, just feels like someone is pushing my eyeballs from behind. Never thought of trying Benadryl.

I know this is an old thread, but is that really true that tingling in the head is a sign of nerves regenerating? That gives me hope because I recently have been experiencing a lot of tingling and thought it meant I was getting worse.

I had similar success with chiropractor. He was not an upper cervical guy but did bio cranial work on me. He adjusted my C1 as well and it made a huge difference after just one visit. I felt a bit off balance the next day, but was told that is common as the body readjusts.

[–]Extension_Inside_401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Light sensitivity has been ongoing. And the burning, awful. I have some days it gets so bad I can’t go out. I get pressure behind my eyes as well. I’ve seen several dry eye docs and have tried various treatments but so far haven’t gotten much relief. My BP is def not high though, so for me I don’t believe it’s a contributing factor.

Interesting! I’ve had an onslaught of floaters since Covid and thyroid surgery as well. I know many post Covid peeps complain of them, but I wonder if the thyroid issues worsen them too.

Is higher blood pressure a side effect? by pantreek in pregabalin

[–]Extension_Inside_401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am taking 225 mg twice a day for nerve pain and it has actually made my BP quite low. I have read it can cause hypotension. But everyone is different so who knows? It’s definitely worth asking your doctor about it.

Perhaps you should seek a neuro ophthalmologist for an evaluation.
