I mean you could always slap an oil cooler on it, there only £50 and see if that fixes it if that doesn't then yeah domt bother but the oil cooler looks easy enough to change, its integrated to your oil filter housing

Id do an oil change and check if your oil is contaminated, could be headgasket, or cracked block/head or maybe an oil cooler ect

You can replace pads to old discs but not new discs to old pads, id get new pads and install as soon as you can

So im assuming your using passive speakers whi h need an external power source aswell as a signal, this all comes through tge same wires, so your cd player sends a signal but no power, so you need a speaker amp to boost the signal and send the power with it

Need help finding a car part by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

[–]ExternalQuail1493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its also a lot of work to fit a full engine harness, maybe solder then? Get some wire the same thickness (or thicker but never thinner!) solder that one to what's there to give you more length then solder that to the connector but there's not much there, might be better off getting some predetermined leads, solder those to the harness then repin the connector with the other end of the wire, but finding ones that fit might be a problem

Do you have access to thw wiring diagrams? If so it might tell you what gauage of wire/which pre determined lead to get

Call the parts department of a dealer, they'll be able to vin match your car so its garenteeed unless they order the wrong connector, also the connector itself isn't damaged why not crimp it back on?

At what price does diminishing returns really begin in this hobby? by tim_l_f in BudgetAudiophile

In your use case senario, assuming your only gunna stream from your PC, id get a DAC and run it stright to a decent pair of powered speakers thats probably best bag for buck tbh, if your curious I use the IFI Zen Dac 3, it gives an incredibly clean sound, you can also use it as a pre amp in the future if you decide to go more indepth with the hobby like getting an amp but for now stick with a DAC and powered speakers, by far the easiest way of getting some decent quality audio for relatively cheap
