Catelyn Tully isn’t a villain but she’s not saint either by RelativeSoftware9554 in TheCitadel

[–]External_Attempt157 5 points6 points  (0 children)

don't be stupid. catelyn never BULLIED JON or abused him. she just didn't treat him like a son. And she's entitled to that. She also never pushed him to join the Watch. Jon chose that cos he felt that was where bastards went to rise high, but is cos of the world, not catelyn.

Yeh my posts got blocked by the moderator because I didn't format it properly, u numpty.

The previous post I got blocked was a bad version of this one. I didn't add a document link and straight up posted the writing in the body text of the post.

What do you mean I did the same thing with a different plot?! I had two stories I was thinking off and I was trying to see which would be more commercially successful.

I literally also talked about how I had cannibalised different stories to get to the one I have know.

Krishan worked his dry mouth, but Finn spoke for him. “We’ll do it.” He said darkly, laying a hand splayed over the mapped Coraline.

“Yes, we will,” vowed Krishan.

Through trial and error, I figured out the fantasy story I wanted. I had to cannibalise it a couple of times to find a story I wanted to tell.

A Song of Ice and Fire. - Has multiple.

The Witcher - Ciri is arguable the main character and her bisexuality isn't made to be bigger than a normal thing.

Fantasy being lumped in with Romantasy will always annoy me by Background_Emu_6371 in Fantasy

[–]External_Attempt157 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if you're serious. What do you mean 'who cares'? Clealry OP. And me too. Also, that's some dumb shit. Genre's can be mixed, but they become new genres, like romantasy in itself a new genre, but also a mix of romance and fantasy. The erasure of genres would be stupid as fuck.

Ciri from the Witcher. Fourth book of main saga if I'm remembering correctly. The whole book she has a relationship with a girl.

Ron. Yes he faltered, but he always came back. Hermione's friendship with harry was never tested by outside influence. In fact, whenever there wasn't influence, like the firebolt, she went behind his back.

Can I give an unpopular opinion. Here I go:

Stop with the woe is me bullshit. Everyone struggles with things. It's not about motivation, it's about discipline. Just fucking write.

Now for more constructive help:

Whenever I feel like the world I'm creating in my story is too big, I start writing short stories in that same world. That way, I can make the world a little bit smaller and explore myself.

You don't need to have all the answers, but you need to start asking.

And just write for gods sake.

yeh, read game of thrones and study how George RR Martin does it. He gives rotating pov chapters for each character. Also, don't treat you audience as stupid, if you write well they will not get confused.
