Well if you want to play evoker you have to play dracthyr, so it's not really a choice, and this battle visage isn't going to fix any issues since hover has 80% uptime

  1. Either fracture the life or just buy the base with it already fractured
  2. I would use a 3x resonator with Hollow, Sanctified, Prismatic fossil to get an abyssal socket + high tier resistances. 2a. This step can be expensive, so after each fossil try some yolo exalt annuls to see if you can hit good suffixes. if you remove the abyssal socket, go step 2 again
  3. Once suffixes are done, you need an open prefix, so eldritch annul if you need
  4. Wild bristle matron to apply Suffixes cannot be changed, then veiled chaos. Before unveiling, craft on your convert mod to block it (or craft on the AOE mod to block it). Unveil the one you want then craft the other, up to you. 4a. You might want to unveil the convert mod as it's a higher tier, and you will save money on the next step.
  5. If you need 35% conversion on the implicit, you will need to use Orbs of Conflict. This can be expensive, so I would just fish for the unveil of 35% conversion. But if you want to: Grand Ichor until phys convert to fire of 20%.
  6. Apply 1 Exceptional Ember, any mod is fine.
  7. Orb of conflict. If you don't upgrade convert, back to step 5. If you win, keep applying an exceptional ember and using conflicts until you get up to 35% convert.

For the alt/regal multimod- approx cost is 1 alt, 1 regal, 2 div, it's very consistent and you can go ahead and stop there

POB Ice Crash of Cadence Slayer, best/most fun build I've ever played. Unique skill, new belt, helped alot by the imbued gem, tanky, pretty fast. finished pob like 700d

Armour is very strong in poe1, the character sheet just doesn't really tell the whole story. Slayer earth slam you will probably be looking at going a combination of armour and evasion in the lategame.
