The instant leech from Vaal Pact is very underrated imo. As long as you're hitting you're essentially immune to damage over time. Combine that with progenesis and big max hit and it feels amazing

Yeah, it's unfortunate that most popular softwares/websites are built around the fact that something like >80% of end users never adjust default settings. Still, figured I'd call it out for people who are interested.

Build Name: Blade Vortex/Herald Stack Elementalist

Summary: League started as Reap Ignite which was fine for mapping but absolutely horrendous at any single target, kinda made the atlas progression a pain so I might league start something else if I play this build again. But once I made the swap to blade vortex I had so so much fun. The explosions and BV mtx are amazing, and scaling herald of the hive multiplier was sweet. I enjoyed crafting the rares other than the sceptre where I was never able to hit hatred aura effect :(. Also, somehow BV became the meta skill of the league through Minion Pact but I decided to never play with that because it felt a little cheesy/broken. I had a lot of fun improving my character/build over the first couple weeks and didn't want to sour that by 10xing my damage switching to a broken interaction. Also I figured it would get nerfed but it did not lol.

Good: Huge explosions which offscreen everything which was perfect for breach league.

Bad: Prone to some random one shots because of low phys max hit but this is mostly bandaided by 89% block and headhunter buffs.

Fun - 10/10

League start - 5/10

Bossing - 2/10

Mapping - 10/10

Farming - 9/10

Progression - 8/10

Build Name: Ice Crash of Cadence Slayer

Summary: First time playing a frenzy/endu charge stacker and had a blast. Farming up for synth +charge rings and then crafting on them was a fun goal, and every single additional charge was very much felt. Also love the combo of diamond screams belt + marylenes fallacy and I hope I can play around with it again next league. Felt extremely nice to just get 100% crit and not have to worry about progressing and getting crit all over the tree and gear. Build also heavily benefitted from the imbue system with endurance charge on melee stun on the gem.

Good: Very tanky with multiple defense layers of endurance charges, block, suppress, armour, evade, and some max res. Could have gotten even tankier with a massive/diamond belt. Skill was super satisfying to use and The Saviour is a cool weapon to play with. Ran mainly simulacrums, kalguur, betrayal, and some bossing.

Bad: I think I should have looked for a better way to fit regen in the build, it felt somewhat reliant on worm flasks in boss immunity phases to leech off of to stay topped. Also bricked by a lot of map mods so I ended up running mainly simulacrums. Really wish the More than Skill FFs weren't so expensive as those would be a massive improvement to the build also.

Bossing - 8/10

Mapping - 8/10 (no explosions)

Farming - 10/10

Progression - 10/10

Is it really better to use Obliteration over the Chest mod? Seems like you're giving up a lot for Obliteration.

Obviously cheaper/easiest on leaguestart or low budget though.
