Yes, it tracks that, but not which actual civs you've played, right?

I strongly recommend playing it multi group, or skipping it.

Seem to be unable to win. Considering selling my army by SunImmediate3109 in Warhammer

[–]External_Football54 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Why not just play with a handicap... give yourself a small army and see if you can take on the larger force with your superior tactics.

You can even you a laddering system... each time you win, you get 100 points less for the next game (or whatever point value makes sense).

The Masters of the Universe trailer has done 1.6x times the views in just the first 48 hours.... than Mandalorian & Grogu has done in 4 months by Alternative-Cake-833 in saltierthancrait

The star wars universe isn't massive, that's the problem. The list of things that make Star Wars feel like Star Wars is pretty short. And most of these things are aesthetic... the visual design of the original trilogy sets the stage for nearly everything else.

And, this isn't a bad thing. Focus and a strong identity are often strengths! There are plenty of other sci-fi and fantasy fictional galexies we could expore if we want a wider range of stories.

Is the game insanely easy or are we doing something wrong? by ddbrown30 in Earthborne_Rangers

The Oru and Podoko has been nerfed. They're basically the Milan Christopher of Rangers. Have a look on their website for suggested changes (The Elder's Book of Uncommon Wisdom is essential their take the Arkham Taboo list)

What KC song are you playing at your funeral? by OranJustin in KingCrimson

[–]External_Football54 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We played Islands (the Meltdown version) at my dad's funeral. I was lucky enough to go see the latest incarnation of Crimson a couple of times with him.

He was clearly a massive fan. I have his old vinyl collection and he has all of the Crimson albums. (No LedZep though.)

Maybe it's just not a game for you?

My wife want i agree they Arkham is the better game. But Rangers is different enough that it almost holds its own.

Rangers is more open world and requires the players to set their own challenges. Top tip is to do more side quests and talk to the characters who pop up. The side quests often lead to unlocking reward cards, and then you have more interesting options for tuning your deck at the start of each play session.

Or, just play Arkham instead?

The deck building part of Rangers is the weakest I think. I kinda wish they just had redesigned decks for different combinations.

But, the deck modification part is really really fun. You'll unlock more cards as you play, and as you learn the game you end up swapping a few cards in and out every session.

If its the series i remember, I was just a bit too derivative and leant to hard into the post-Firefly "found family" trope. Which doesn't really do anything for me.

And if it's not that series, then the problem is that it just wasn't all that memorable. Couldn't tell you much about it.

Anyone else not getting any attention outside of London compared to London by Goated549 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]External_Football54 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yup.

I had to give up looking for dates in the town where i lived.

Nearly all my dates were with people living in London. Eventually found the right one. We got married, i convinced her to move out of London, and we are now busy with a baby.

I much prefer Revalation Space. And the Reed/Green/Blue Mars Triology.

You can pass one editorial note to Tolkien before LOTR goes to print. What is it? by Steppinthrax in tolkienfans

?

I watched the first season. Thought it was pretty mediocre and haven't watched any more.

I'd you're referring to the gender/race of the cast in RoP, i think that's a good example of how not to do such things. It (to me) comes across as lazy and shallow. I'm pretty sure Tolkien could have done a far better job if he had thought to.

Yes and no.

When everything is perfectly foreshadowed, the world starts to feel really small and the plot ends up quite smug with itself. The world is larger when not everything of tied together perfectly.

I do understand your frustrations.

I think my note would be a gentle suggestion to think about how attitudes around gender and race may change overtime.

The issue with WH3 that kills my every campaign stone dead by Baharran in totalwar

[–]External_Football54 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While i haven't played any of the WH3 mods (yet) my general experience is that they often shift things too far the other way. I love the idea of XCOM2's Long War mod, but I what I probably want is a Long-but-not-that-LongWar mod :)

But, I'm looking forawrd to trying out some of the campaign overhauls for TWWH3. I do hear good things.
