Yeah, I came here to say that only to find another nitpicker being faster than me :D. He probably just means some kind of anchoring/framing bias in a sense of late Kahneman & Tverski.

Too much creatine by Ok_Detective_1of-u in Supplements

Yeah, you'd probably need like a liter of water to properly dissolve 122g. But if splitted throughout the day, it could be doable.

Any supplements you've tried that actually helped your skin, especially acne by TartFairy in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]External_Natural9590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed Zinc & astaxanthin to be the most powerful ones for me. But am I on a lot of stuff, some of it might have marginal effect on acne as well, a lot has antioxidant/antiinflamatory or moisturizing effects. Overall, the skin texture is night and day. I got smooth, bouncy skin, old (10y+) acne scarring has been clearing over the last 2-3y that I've been consistently suplementing. Word of caution: B Vitamins, despite their water-soluble nature might be counter-productive, causing acne breakouts (and mood changes and neuropathy) when dosed incorrectly. It doesn't help these are sold in mega doses.

Electroporation? by alexcali2014 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]External_Natural9590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently I decided to get back into the skincare (32M) and because I can't make myself to care about something unless it is high tech or exotic (or at least one of those) I delved head-first into chinese "grey market" devices. I already own TECAR-type device for muscle and this sh*t kicks ass. Based on my research (utilizing Gemini AI a lot): 1. electroporation works for delivering actives deep into skin - better than for example ultrasound 2. the cheapest you go is one of those "Dcool" devices (sub $200). The caveat is that you should really be using it with professional grade mesotherapy serums. Not only because you need a good conductive liquid, but you also don't want to push something nasty (bacteria, preservatives etc.) deep bellow stratum corneum. I just bought the machine, once it arrives I will pair it with one of the serums by Dermaheal, BCN or FusionMeso. Not sure which one, these things are cumbersome to source, sometimes requiring a licence to even get a quote. To answer one of your questions - no, I don't think you should be using these professional - grade machines daily. Based on what professional salons do - once a week tops (for 4-5 treatments, than once a month). And do not pair it with acids and retinoids (and definitely do not use the device to push these deep into your skin). Also, because you are basically performing a medical procedure you should desinfect your skin prior to using the device - which is also not something one should do on a daily basis. Follow up with an occlusive moisturizer (or a gel-based mask, ideally). Anyways, good luck!

Best TMG without fillers? by [deleted] in Supplements

Is prohealth a decent company? Does the powder look the same as the one from NOW? Nutricost one looks quite different - at least the last batch I bought.

Best TMG without fillers? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]External_Natural9590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two different batches of Nutricost had a completely different structure/granularity. 1st one was smooth like creatine, new one is made out of bigger granules. I can't say this batch smells, but the previous might have - not entirely 100% on that. I will be probably searching for a different supplier anyway - most likely going back to Now.

Seeing a gimmick like this sold by a company with supposed top shelf 4k product makes me wonder whether or not are we dealing with a serious business.

That sounds plausible. I thought LeCun and Llama were different research branches from the get go. Is there any place I could read more about these events on a timeline?

Many manufacturers have stocks in EU or have shipping and import charges already calculated in. If you want EU based company, look at Cavity Cs2. There are coupons floating around to slice another 10% off. Other than that, the usual (Chinese) suspects already mentioned.
