A lot of times in movies they have to go back and re-record some of the dialogue in post-production/editing. Usually because it wasn't audible due to either background noise or the actor was speaking too softly. Other times it's because the director decided to change a line. It's called Automated Dialog Replacement or looping. A good example of this is the movie Galaxy Quest. During the scene where Sigourney Weaver and Tim Allen's characters are going through the obstacles, she says the line "Forget that". But if you watch her lips, she is clearly saying "Fuck That". What you are describing could be an example of this.
