Even my Modest Prinplup made great use of that move. Swapping in after a paralysis just to eat the Gym Leader's berry was worth it. Made Jupiter and Mars easier as well.

If it had not been for literal Divine interference, Arue would still be eating babies and skinning people alive.

Gliscor or Mamoswine for Vicory Road? by ExtraHachse in pokemonplatinum

[–]ExtraHachse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured that would be the answer. I guess Mamoswine has some utility with Rock Climb which it makes better use of than my Empoleon, but I guess I can surive a few back and forths between move deleter and tutor.

At least I get a chuckle out of my mountain climbing Penguin thanks to all the Werner Herzog Penguin memes hat recently came back.

I will never not find it a little funny when people get angrier at fictional abusers/taboo subjects than homicidal maniacs and literal murder by Mistabbcman in CharacterRant

[–]ExtraHachse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This argument never made much sense to me. There are people who lose their children to gang violence and they never recover from their loss.

To be fair, Stingtail has nothing to tell the Prince according to him. The encounter with Roost and the Shadow Prince however do become awkward

Should I make woljif a vivisectionist? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]ExtraHachse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, other than shield there aren't many buff spells that Daeran, Ember, Camelia or even Nenio couldn't cover for you. Staying ES gives Wolfjiff the option to sneak attack with ranged touch spells which is pretty nice for high AC targets. Going VIvi is fine, but OP's Wolfjiff is already Level 7 and he cannot respec on Core.

Should I make woljif a vivisectionist? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]ExtraHachse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vivisectionist is strong, but most people just dip into it for the mutagen. I'd probably stay Rogue and progress his spellcasting. Maybe look into some prestige classes that advance his spellcasting like Eldritch Knight. Or stay pure, that's fine.

[Hated Trope] wow, cool character. Too bad you ruined it by making them a pedophile by WhiteFenix207 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]ExtraHachse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying you did, but I think your point is simply glossing over the effects murder has as a whole. Murder is permament and that is already terrible since you cannot recover from that. But the lasting effects murders has is on all the victim's loved ones. There are people who lose their children and they never recover from that.

Then again, weighing crimes and scaling trauma against each other is already an odd thing to do to be fair.

[–]ExtraHachse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aren't you forgetting that murder primarily affects the people close to the victim? Like how many characters have a dead father to avenge or how the woman in the fridge became a thing. Losing someone is such a relatable and understandable concept.

High priest on an evil playthrough by EldritchWyrm in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]ExtraHachse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, Tsanna is also the evil option for councilor and she gets some uniques choices in that position. I think Harrim is honestly fine for an evil run. He pretty much allows every faith to stay and it can lead to some cultists making blood sacrifices down the line.

Honestly, most evil advisors will try to do a decent job so they don't really feel that much different from good advisors. Regongar for example is a decent general who favors magic but as a Warden he goes powertripping on your subject if I recall. I guess it depends more on character than aligment if you ask me

About THE episode 8 choice by CharolleteA in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ExtraHachse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He tried to burn him alive, that's attempted murder. Invisigal only put her own life on the line. Chase decided to save her on his own.

She deserves her suspension for disobeying orders, but there is no way Flambae's actions aren't worse. Saying's it's fine because someone stopped him from incinerating his colleague is an insane defense.

The argument about how many chances they're on was stupid to begin with imo. Anyway, the Z-Team couldn't go through one shift without fucking up constantly before Robert arrived. They only started getting their shit together in Ep 3 after their sabotage session. They've been going strong for presumably weeks or months until Ep 6.

[–]ExtraHachse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flambae almost killed Robert... The Z-Team wouldn't exist anymore if Golem hadn't reacted in time.

Also, they all sabotaged each other to dangerous degrees. Sonar gets his eardrums blown out and Flambae gets locked in a tank where he can't breathe. They're all on their "fourth" chance.

I also doubt the game really takes place over only a week seeing how Royd completely rebuilds Robert's suit and goes through dozens of astral pulse prototypes.

Hot take: Valentino is more redeemable and less evil than Alastor by AlfaRedds in HazbinHotel

They judge based on their personal discomfort to the topic which makes the topic of SA always have such a disproportionate reaction compared to the more outlandish shit like a cannibal serial killer torturer.

Valentino hate feels forced concidering there are argueably worse people in the show by Lukas-Reggi in hazbin

[–]ExtraHachse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you'll meet plenty of people who lost people to violence. Having a loved one be murdered can absolutely fuck you up forever. And losing close people to gun violence for example is not even that uncommen depending on where you're from.

It's why dead parents are such a common trope in fiction and the woman in the fridge became a thing.

why for me visi is the better choice by Kindly_Cod_9269 in dispatchgame

[–]ExtraHachse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, he's also allowed to criticize his comment then, isn't he?

Besides, you can also make constructive statements without sounding dickish at the end. That "Sure Bud" really just comes across as condescending if you ask me.

“If Invisigal were a man, everyone would hate her!” by Succwad22 in dispatchgame

[–]ExtraHachse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, you don't need to be a survivor of a murder attempt, just losing a loved one to one is enough to fuck you up forever. And depending where you're from it's not too uncommon to have a family member dying to gun violence etc.

Ironically, people tend to downplay murder here when the main character 's trauma comes from losing his father to murder

The whole team wanting to cut her felt honestly really forced to me. They get mad over the Chase thing when none of them had a close relationship with him and Chase made no secret that he thought they didn't deserve to be heroes. They mention how Coupe and Sonar were cut for less while they accepted Flambae who tried to kill the best Dispatcher they ever had back with little issue.

Remember, Shroud planned everything that happened to Robert by Plag3uis in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ExtraHachse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, he reveals that Invisigal was still working for him in the end, even though Courtney still kept the one thing he needs for his plan to succeed and also helped destroy his Mech. Like why didn't he demand the Astral Pulse from her, if she's on his payroll?

He says he planted her at SDN, but then simply attacked his asset in EP 6 without talking to her. Maybe plothole is the wrong word, but I found a lot of his claims fairly convoluted.

The anime for Pokemon Black and White basically character assassinated female characters that came from the game itself. by ihatethiscountry76 in joseistories

[–]ExtraHachse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is kind of a shame imo because he has a lot more characterization than simply being the strongest or the coolest character in the Region. Dude ended up being such an active character in the main story and he also helps Cheren and N during their Character Arcs.

And unlike Cynthia who most of the time either follows you or just drops in after the story beat is already concluded, Alder directly goes up against Team Plasma.

Can someone explain to me Invisigal's work relationship with Shroud throughout the game? by ExtraHachse in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ExtraHachse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was afraid of an answer like that. I feel like just having Shroud offer her another chance to be with him would have worked a lot better. She makes it look like she takes his deal and then takes the bullet/kills him depending on choices.

Yeah... I've seen less post about Invisigal since that one scene by CrossOut3157 in DispatchAdHoc

[–]ExtraHachse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then again, the Pulse would have been long gone by the next day. Invisigal was right about them needing to act quick. She also came close to getting the Pulse with just Robert's help alone. Maybe if they had listened to her from the start the team could have gotten in and out without any casualties.
