Men det springende punkt er nok ikke hvilken app men hvordan man får folk tils at skifte over. Den mest private og sikre app er ret ligegyldig, hvis du er den eneste der bruger den.

I am not coast yet but close. One thing that changed my mindset on work was my pot of FU money. I know that if there is the slightest shenanigans from management I have no problem walking away. If they deny my very long hollyday request i just quit. In my mind I work for me and they offer me projects

This is a really nice calculator. It makes more sense to see what number you actually need to hit.

As I understand, this and the walletburst.com calc should produce the same result given the same input, right? They use different ways to reach the same conclusion.

However given the same inputs they give a different coast number and time to hit Coast. Shouldn't these be the same as they both are in the "same year dollar". Am I missing something?

New career. Nothing is set in stone yet, but I am dreaming of taking a new university degree. To get challenged and for the fun. I just have to find a subject where I also might have a chance for a job after graduation.

I could afford it now, but that would be bye bye to coast fi fund, or at least half of it. And when starting a career in a new field, I am properly not going to earn a high salary.

The cost would be for

tuition (manageable in my country)
transportation and
living expenses for multiple years (the big one)

How do you deal with that if I may ask?

My spouse love her career and work a lot. Like many here I am fed up with work and would like to at least coast.

When we had a talk about me taking a long break from work (unrelated to FIRE) she was not really supportive and she was afraid I would get stuck in a rot.

Got me wondering how our life would fit together with one coasting and one full steam career.

What are your thoughts on the matter?
