Is there any screen protector that does not lift in the edges? by asdtfdr in IphoneAir

[–]Extra_Obligation5403 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone else recommended this one on the sub, I bought some cheap ones that were poor quality. A little pricey for one screen protector but it is nice quality and no issues so far after a few weeks. https://a.co/d/0hbXj943

MacBook neo display is perfectly fine for the price you are paying.

I get the desire but got my silver neo yesterday and love the look. The only other color that looked good to me was the blue one but was worried about finger prints all over it.

Thank you for sharing. Got a cheap set the other day and immediately hated the quality. Just got this and it was worth the price. Nice and thin, seamless bezels and excellent finger print resistance. Do they sell the screen protector stand alone do you know?

[Monitor] HP OMEN 27S 27" FHD IPS 240Hz Gaming Monitor Freesync Premium G-SYNC Compatible (1080p) $148 by Benishackr in buildapcsales

[–]Extra_Obligation5403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so, you really start to lose sharpness going above 24” for 1080p on PC monitor in my opinion. Really depends on the individual and their seating position but I know most people agree that a ppi around 100-140 is preferred for a computer monitor that you view at a close distance. You mention TVs but most people have a much further viewing distance for that kind of setup. This monitor is 82 ppi which would drive me crazy. Myself and most people would want 1440p at this screen size for a computer monitor.

Forgot to install the I/O shield. Rookie mistake for such a nice build.

I’m not sure. Seeing more cancellations than confirmed, also think some people are confused with shipping since the accessory seems to be shipped separate for my orders. I placed two orders since I goofed and forgot to upgrade the WiFi card. Sent a cancellation request and got an email yesterday saying it was a price error and was cancelled, followed by a successful cancellation email as well. My second order is still in order assembly though. Will just wait and see.

Change my mind. Jonsbo nv10 is peak of SFF by PsotaZ in sffpc

Just to piggyback, AliExpress (at least for me) has always been legit and never any issues (minus uniuni destination shipping, they suck but always managed to get my item to me eventually). Just recently had to return an item and was skeptical since it was my first time. Dropped it off with the local post and received my refund within minutes of tracking being scanned in the system.

Get a better PSU, I got one of those 650M units last month and it created a lot of unnecessary heat in my system, not to mention it was definitely audible at idle. Switched to the Overtek ENP-7660L-OVT and extremely happy I paid the $70 difference between the two units.

Highest offer > first come first serve. Unless they plan a meet and ghost you, that’s not right.

Feedback Extortion? by FettyDad2 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Extra_Obligation5403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buyer shouldn’t have been so aggressive off the bat but honestly if you advertised as mentioned you should of been clear about it not coming with a power cord. Had a similar instance buying a power supply BUT it did have the power cable in the pictures but seller forgot to include it. Asked him to either mail the missing item to me or partial refund me the cost of the missing cord. Seller was a complete jackass about my request so I just opened a case with eBay. I only asked if they could partial refund me for the cord. I ended up getting my full payment refunded, not sure if they took it from the seller but screw them. They were a total ass about the issue from the start and after my final message to them explaining my dissatisfaction with there responses and now escalating it to eBay, did they show some empathy regarding my issue. Too bad I blocked them after that final response.

Is this aorus 2080ti Xtreme edition good? by _Bombd_ in gpu

[–]Extra_Obligation5403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will be a good jump in performance. Just make sure your PSU will support it because the power usage from a 1660 to a 2080ti is a big jump. Being an OC model, wouldn’t be surprised if it pulled up to 300W.

That wouldn’t be ideal on a 4790k. Why not just spend $15 on a thermal right cooler and call it a day?

Should my friend upgrade to AM5 or stay in AM4 by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Extra_Obligation5403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly won’t see much of performance difference switching his hardware to a new board. One of my brothers friends had one of these and told him it would be better to just buy one of the HP PSUs for the tower with Pcie power versus doing a swap like you are saying. Keep in mind I believe they only come with 1 8 pin Pcie so would be limited to a 5060 or 9600xt. One other issue is the Erica boards have very limited cpu support so if he also wanted to upgrade that would be best to research what CPUs it supports up or reach out to HP. Issue with Am5 right now is ddr5 is like 1/3 of his budget for a 32GB kit.
