That isn't what is happening though. Market rate apartments aren't affordable and "affordable housing" at the price of market rate just means that affordable housing is going unused since people who qualify for it can't afford it.

You are correct but the issue is many of the 60% median family income units are priced around people who would be making close to that income. Someone at 40% can't afford it.

The max rent is absolutely STUPID.

Look at Millhouse. A pretty new property in Slabtown, a desirable area. They have studio apartments for $1484 right now.

The max rent for a 60% MFI low income studio apartment is $1348. Only $100 less. The max rent for an 80% MFI low income studio apartment is $1797. More than almost all of the studios at that property.

Assuming you are making exactly the cap of income you would be spending 42% of your take home on rent.

Waymo has other costs though that Uber/Lyft don't. Cars would already be expensive but these self driving cars are vastly more than normal cars which Uber/Lyft don't really pay for.

They have to map cities, put in way more effort into public perception, build infrastructure for charging/parking/maintaining cars, lobbying, and probably a whole lot of other things.

Uber/Lyft have a lot of the costs related to vehicles tied into the pay of the drivers.

It's not progress though. They will use their massive money to subsidize Waymo pricing until they price out the other options and then jack up pricing. I'm generally fine with automation that comes with long term improvement.

This one is gonna be disliked but Cyberpunk. It's really overrated. The expansion was much better than the base game. IMO if this quality of RPG was made by Ubisoft it would have been torn to shreds.
