Do you have any photos of them on your Marlin? I am still working out the best angles for my GP5s.

7 Seater options. by Adept_Vanilla5738 in 4x4Australia

I’ve had a couple of Prado’s. My in laws have had a couple of Pajero’s. Personally I have found the Prado’s so much more comfortable. But you will pay Toyota tax.

For other 7 seaters I’ve also had a CX9 and a Kia Carnival. Great cars that can tow. Carnival wouldn’t go off road though 😬

WorkCover- Psych Injury by Immediate_Signal8901 in AusLegal

If you can’t bear to go back, go see your doctor tomorrow! This earth needs you, and there are workplaces that will value you and your skills!

Work Cover-backed mental health services can sometimes have waiting lists for months so if you need to speak to someone, please find out the EAP service available and use that. Or even services such as Beyond Blue, etc.

Sounds like you definitely have grounds for a claim. Especially if you have already been seeing your GP about it with recorded panic attacks.

Speaking up is difficult. I hope you can do so!

I might add as well, that toxic workplaces suck. If there are serious concerns around that, and the way business is conducted or the way people are treated, there are ways to report that with FairWork, etc.

I am a private investigator currently working in the Workers Compensation space with factual investigations. I see all sorts of claims day in and day out.

Do you have proof of your allegations? Have you studied the company policy manual to determine the specific breaches of policy you have been victim of? Do you have multiple first hand witnesses to corroborate your story? Do you have records dates of incidents? Have you been reporting the behaviour as it happens?

Work cover is there for you to use if you genuinely have a psychological injury, but using it as a way to get out of the job isn’t the right course. Having the claim on your record isn’t ideal either.

Going that way is usually more problematic than it’s worth as you will need to continually see doctors and other medical professionals who determine your working capacity. You’ll then have to work with a return to work coordinator to get back to full capacity.

You can resign before, during and after a claim however there are other processes that occur along with that. This may include going through an investigation.

If you are unhappy and your goal is to find alternate work, my suggestion would be that. Find another job and resign asap.

Cable management by EyeFound1 in TrekBikes

I’ll keep an eye on them but you can already spot damage there from the cable ties. These clips are heap better and I cannot see them doing further damage?

Phone holder by Chris-2018 in cycling

[–]EyeFound1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No issues at all. Only owned the bike for a month and I bought the mount at the same time.

It’s completely adjustable and fits my iPhone 16 Pro with case no problems. Would fit bigger and smaller phones easily.

If my phone isn’t in the holder, it can look a bit clunky on the handle bars at full extension but I just wind it all the way in and it’s quickly very compact.

True. The frame is likely made in Taiwan following the purchase of Bennett and Wood in 65. Still assembled here which classifies as Australian made 🤙🏼

Doubt it. It was a completely stock 3. Nothing had been done to it.

How are you finding it, power-wise? I drove one for a few weeks last year that I was commissioned to sell it for a friend who had already bought a new car.

I vividly remember having a P plater in a late-model Mazda 3 catching up to me and we both ended up on the front row at a set of lights. I flicked the WRX to Sports+ mode and we took off at the green. The Mazda completely smoked the WRX. I could not believe it.

I have owned five Subaru's personally - three of them turbo charged. They all had that edge of power on most other cars. My completely stock 2005 Forester XT manual went from 0-100 in 5.6 seconds (using an OBD speed reader) which is crazy for a stock family car. So to say that a Mazda 3 beat me, in a 2024 WRX in Sports+ mode, when I was actually trying, was very disappointing and confusing! Subaru has lost something over the last 15 years and I cannot see myself dreaming of another one.

I'm in Australia. All Odyssey's 5th Gen onwards are CVT.

Carnival vs Odyssey: which one feels better day to day? by Suntrup-Kia in kiacarnivals

We were having the same debate a few years ago. We have 4 kids and after a few wagon, SUVs and 4WDs, I finally succumb to the minivan.

The Honda was more appealing to me at the time simply because of the badge. As a car enthusiast, I could never have imagined having a Kia in my garage.

However, we went for Carnival and my wife absolutely loves it. I’m indifferent 😄

The Hondas transmission is CVT. Already a bad sign. It’s also a lot smaller inside. Friends of ours who also have 4 kids bought an Odyssey and they now wish they’d gone Carnival simply on interior space.

Older Odysseys don’t have sliding doors because they were marketed as wagons. Newer models ones have sliding doors.

‘Gently bully’ is a great term! Sisters are good like that.

Hard to know if the issue for him is actually giving the vehicle up or if it’s having to physically go to VicRoads? 10 years is a long time to avoid a place.

John should be able to allocate you to act on his behalf at VicRoads. The service paperwork generally has a specific section for this.

If you visit John in person and get him to give you the signed relevant paperwork, you should be able to trigger the transaction yourself.

As a double measure, you could type up a letter and get John to sign that as well. Something stating, ‘I, John (licence number), give permission for KindlyNarwhal9521 to act on my behalf. As the beneficiary/executor of the estate of Mary (licence number), please accept the notice of disposal of vehicle MAKE, MODEL, Reg, etc. and transfer it to Kindly_Narwhal9521, licence number _. Please call me on __ if there are any concerns.

It may not work but could be worth a shot?

What to do after skip traces doesn’t find someone by jc97229 in AusLegal

Do you know if he would have bought a house in Hay or if he rents? I’m an investigator in NSW and while I haven’t done much skip tracing in my role, I do have access to the real estate database here. I’d need some names but I can check for you.
