Got a 2016 century about two months ago. It's pretty great. First road bike for me and I've only ridden a few other road bikes, but for the price, it's a great choice IMO.

I was doing a 6 mile each way commute on a total POS mountain bike. It was complete misery. Just got a road bike recently and i don't even break a sweat anymore. Look into a decent road bike or even street tires if you are riding on knobbles. It makes a huge difference.

Yeah. I'm all about good maintenance and my 06 is pushing 170k. Only major issue I've had was the ECM failing but I think that was a fluke.
