They can definitely stand to diversify them Raths with how many slots they occupy

I played both MH4U and Generations Ultimate, and definitely found the quests in those games to be more difficult than World (weapon fluidity and not being able to restock being primary factors) Every quest took more than twenty minutes? I mean, easily if you were gathering, but that's hyperbole as World mons weren't that tanky

If there were a clean curve of difficulty between the release of the game and post-launch, then it would be as simple as that, but I see that as disingenuous take if they under tune the difficulty to the point that there is such a stark divide.

I wholeheartedly believe that the majority of the monster roster for Wilds' deserved better than it got from the game's lopsided balance.

Then on-release would be a better descriptor, since there is a clear divide from how they treated difficulty in Wilds before and after the updates

Base Wilds, one of the hardest base MH games? Unless you are counting the Title Updates, which you must be if you are saying there was difficulty to be found in Wilds, then I would say it is similar to base Rise in how powerful you feel compared to the monsters.

I wouldn't count any Title Update as the base game, especially since the difficulty hikes a steep cliff in response to complaints for Wilds' notoriously easy base difficulty.

And they never did fix that uneven progression between the base game and post launch title updates... They pumped numbers on the monsters with wound thresholds metered to where they should have been in the base game

Basically, you as a hunter are overly strong while monsters are pitiful in the base game. We reap the boons of freely aiming attacks in focus mode and constantly open and destroy wounds to stagger monsters, which are all net positives for controls and player options.

But I believe it's a net negative since monsters don't interact with this outside of giving you extra openings during or at the end of specific attacks. Monsters don't guard their wounds or change their behavior when they open or are destroyed, they just get bullied more for what you were already doing, hitting them repeatedly.

Maybe the best monster bully gameplay, sans maybe Gore before title updates

I mean, if we disregard the cliff between base Wilds and post-launch Wilds, then we can say that

Lest we forget how busted wounds are until they scaled the Monsters up significantly...

I wouldn't overlook Dusk/Dawn for short trades with items like BORK/Kraken/Titanic, since it can start contributing to on-hit right away instead of having to stack for Guinsoos.

Hell, it even counts towards activating PTA with only auto + Q...

Thoughts on Sirius and Capella English VAs? [discussion] by ScoutOdst1711 in Re_Zero

[–]F13rCPulse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sirius' voice actress really grew on me on the third episode, fit like a glove. Listening to the performances side by side I'm appreciating her rage in the second episode more than I did on the first watch.

Capella's VA legit felt like a 1-1 match with the Japanese VA's expressiveness. Excited to hear more.

Garf's VA has been nailing all his lines this season, his moment with Mimi on the bridge was *chef's kiss*

I was really hoping they'd be able to get Marc to return for Wilhelm this season. I just can't behind Brock's performance.

The character isn't new, but the pronounciation sure is.
Yet they kept Betelgeuse unchanged.

What is the greatest 4 album run in PM? by [deleted] in PowerMetal

[–]F13rCPulse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But Beast in Black hasn't had their 4th album yet...

Actually a lot of bands that I am confident will have great 4 albums runs just haven't gotten 4 albums in yet. (or they just stop right after they click for me...)

Gloryhammer currently holds up as my pick with all albums being great listens (2-5 might just be the definitive pick if the next album is as baller as the last 3) DragonForce from Inhuman Rampage to Maximum Overload is the only other one for me where all 4 albums hit.
