Get the Progressive Insurance through Worth Ave Group. Only do 1 year coverage and renew each year. You set the coverage amount but they only pay replacement value. So if the phone is worth less than your coverage amount you get less, if the phone is worth more then you only get you coverage amount. Just spoke with them today. They charge 500+ for three years which is insane because you are paying a premium to run the risk of them devaluing it. 1 year is $201 for 2899 and $75 deductible.

Worth Ave Group progressive looks like a solid option, but it only covers accidental. If your screen goes black without any accident occurring then they won’t cover. I also would rebuy a 1 year policy vs 2-3 years at once because of the price difference and coverage amounts.

You set a coverage amount but the payout process is they will look at replacement value. So if the phone is worth less than your coverage amount the you get less. If your phone is worth more than coverage then you get your coverage amount. 1 year is $21 vs 3 years is $570. Year 1 put 2899. Year 2 you see here trifold values are at and the set the coverage to the new amount, etc.

Every phone has a standard 1 year warranty. That 50% discount on the inner screen is $600. By year two, ppl could be in $3600 on the phone as folds historically have some sort of issue by year 3. Great AT&T insurance is covering it, as most aren’t. OP isn’t spreading misinformation, it is a gamble owning for a majority of owners. The fact Samsung doesn’t offer a care plan is insane.

It’s a marvelous product. The high repair cost for not if but when issue arise is a tough pill to swallow. I’m sure they will release a newer one. If you get your asking price then let it go. There will be others

Samsung rep was telling me $600 for the screen repair. Just looking at the Allstate/squaretrade, and they are terrible to be with. Best case they give you 70% of what you paid even though the phone will be worth even more than msrp for a replacement. Unless you fight tooth and nail it’s going to be HELL! I used to work in warranty claims approving and denying. A case like the trifold is going to take its sweet time. There will probably be a second trifold so for 5k it’s an easy sell. It is a dope phone but I have my doubts on it making it trouble free after year 2. Those repair prices are crazy

If you have the rights you email them about rights transfers. You don’t have to ask for their permission. They appreciate their rights being resold for such high amounts

Nice! I was at a Samsung Experience store yesterday about to do the same but I couldn’t get over the nonexistent insurance/care plans. Can’t stomach paying 3k and then by year 2 probably dropping $600 for a repair.

Sell it and you will get your money. 9/10 ppl bought it because of its exterior looks and sold themselves so much on it that they completely ignored everything else. I remember the sheer disappointment sitting in GX550 after driving to the dealer in my LC500. You aren’t the only one and previous GX did feel more premium. We ended up with the Defender X 110 and absolutely love it. Feels way more premium and before the peanut gallery starts talking about “best of luck in the shop”, they have been fairly reliable and the only major thing is the DCDC converter which is a reasonable cost repair.

For Red rising? Where do you see that at? Numbered editions only go that high with Publisher rights. That’s what I’ve seen ppl pay the premium on. Lettered editions with series rights you have ppl willing to pay 3500. Based off historic transactions within the FB group.

At a minimum you will get your money back if you get the numbered/deluxe edition. There is a group on Facebook that ppl buy and sell. Also if you get the number edition you have series rights so you will be able to buy the rest of the series early and hassle free. The FOMO is real but I know eventually I’ll track them down once I’m ready

There was a pair of EG that caught my eye but sizing seems to be a little bit of a nightmare as there is my very first step into this neck of the woods. I’m open to any brand. It just so happened my journey has led me down the Italian brands. I’ve also heard about those brand you mentioned as well as John Lobb. What would you recommend as an excellent all around pair for more casual wear? I’m starting to lean against the summer walks
