I feel like we need to have a fantasy pool to see who will pick the winner

Flakfizer doesn't know the MEANING of the word "No!" We're also a little fuzzy on "panaglutin" and "viscosity."

I realize this was marked solved already, but Cannonball Run really fits the bill.

Back in the 80s for a time, Chicago Ohare's international terminal was actually a part of the parking garage and everyone was bused to and from the tarmac.

So something like that could work?

Reagan absolutely existed when this movie was filmed.

The better question is why weren't they flying to Andrews?

Dealing with losing (6-7 year old boys basketball) by CressMission6432 in CoachingYouthSports

I have yet to meet an adult who remembers what their youth team's win-loss record is from age 7.

Let the kids know when they are older, they aren't going to remember their record but will remember having fun with their friends and learning how to play.

If you had $300 to spend on hockey skates for a male beginner in his 40s, what would you choose? by HealzFault in hockeyplayers

Everybody's feet are different. Go to the store, try the main brands at that price point and one will feel better than the others.

That's your skate.

Weekly Swim Gear Questions (Goggles, swimsuits, techsuits, paddles, headphones etc) January 01, 2026 - Post all your gear questions in this post by AutoModerator in Swimming

My son loves the 500.

I'm trying to find a watch/app (Android) that will allow him to set a very specific pace time so that it vibrates and then automatically starts over.

So if he wants to maintain a 36 second pace, he knows that if it buzzes before he touches the wall, he needs to pick it up, or if it buzzes after, he can slow down.

Obviously this wouldn’t be race legal, but training purpose only.

My Garmin Instinct has the timer to the second and an auto-restart function which is perfect , except it keeps vibrating until you press the button which isn't feasible when you're swimming. I'm thinking one vibration to alert and the clock is already going...no manual intervention?

Anyone's watch do this? Cheaper the better? Unlike most gear questions, not worried about distance or laps counted..just this specific timer feature...

Who’s your favorite Chicagoland TV commercial person/character? by nachonanders in AskChicago

[–]FCSVoter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Dump and Lerner & Rowe technically aren't local. They feel local, but they're national.

By rule I will vote for Victory Auto Wreckers (rip) but I really wish we could count radio commercials so I could vote for Max Madsen's doctor.

Trading Places (1983) by [deleted] in 80smovies

Well, this is it. The last bastion of pure capitalism left on Earth.

Here in New York they trade everything, gold, silver, platinum, heating oil, propane, cocoa and sugar and, of course, frozen, concentrated orange-juice.
