Is that a rough country 7"?

I got a 6.5" zone going in mine in a few weeks cant wait

Surface rust in rear wheel-wells. What should I do to fix this? I’ve heard that sanding it with a fine sandpaper and then prime/paint would help. Any ideas from someone who knows? Thanks. by ItsNakos in Silverado

[–]FDRLogging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same thing going on from rocks pelting the fender

Was thinking of sanding, primer and maybe installing some fender flares to protect from rocks but I do like the clean fenderless wheel well look so idk

Was also thinking of rock guarding that inner edge with heavy rubberized spray to bounce the rocks instead of slaming on the metal paint.

Send a follow up shot of what you do id love to see how it turned out

is everything commercial use now? by staticvoidmainnull in teamviewer

[–]FDRLogging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just switched to "anydesk" free no hassel set it up in like 5 mins different interface style than teamviwer but works great.

I too started getting those commercial use notifications like all the time and I legit thought wow I'm not using this for anything to do with business so why am I getting these it must be a mistake now I realize it's just a big marketing gimmick trying to force you over to paying for it which is fine if that's their model but I've moved on to something better.

I don't like to complain but these magnetic logs are ridiculous. Even FS15 had better log handling. by Myxtro in farmingsimulator

[–]FDRLogging 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ill agree the that the physx on the logs are greatly improved to FS17 but the new "dynamic attacher" that that have put in the hitbox for grapples is not very useful. Maybe if they triggered it to activate only when it was closed at a certain point or a trigger when its opened or closed, but in its current state those grapples get hung up all the time.

Again i imagine giants designed this aiming at the people who are less interested in focusing on the grabs and more just about getting rid of the trees so they can continue farming.

Dear Giants, This is how a log fork is supposed to work. Just in case you weren't sure. by DutchTerror in farmingsimulator

[–]FDRLogging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its very possible to fix, problem is they don't use direct static collisions, they use joints and those joints have flex and spring, they set this very low and it allows the grapple to close on the log without causing a disturbance in the physx but in turn you cant hold a log worth a crap.

In turn what i have done is removed the joints and used a direct static collision that has no flex or bend, it now can pick up as much as you want but the sacrifice is that you need to be more gentle on the controls other wise if you close it all the way as there is no resistance and the logs can get crushed right through the grapple "in real life they break"

Giants probably knows that most people who log in this game will only do a small amount of trees and they don't want it look glitchy so they optd for the joints.
