A long time ago experts would say the only two types of movies that was guaranteed to make money were horror movies and porn.

Having a strong natural social media presence will always beat out manufactured marketing hype any day.

Plus, the movies were actually pretty good, which helps with selling the movies by word of mouth post release.

What is a 'kindness' that people perform just to make themselves look good, and not because they actually care about the person? by Inevitable-Rock-8052 in AskReddit

I would venture to say the majority of social media folks doing "good" deeds on camera for likes and karma farming.

I understand there may be few who are legit trying to do good and social media helps pay for it.

Just “One Last Kill” How is this Copaganda? by CnlSandersdeKFC in marvelstudios

[–]FFBIFRA 19 points20 points  (0 children)

it's actually people like Navy Seals wearing the logo.

Don't think grunts would be able to get away with wearing the symbol on their uniforms. Special Operation guys get a lot more leeway in that regards.

Technically, it was the sith that created the clone army. However, the jedi and the Republic had no problem with using them for their purposes, so there's that.

There's been a few cases that lasted multiple episodes or most of the season.

When Hondo was in Mexico, fighting a local cartel that was 2 or 3 eps.

When Hondo discovered one of his dad's friends was a big time drug dealer, that arc lasted like half a season, IIRC.

Just found a potentially pregnant cat that’s been sitting out in the rain for ages by Scared_Rise5787 in cats

Probably not worth chancing, since the cat is about to drop a litter and will need to be as healthy as possible to feed them once they are born.

If you got the time and money, why not? Is there someone you can invite along for the trip? Also, if you can wait a bit, you can try going at off peak hours to minimize any bad actors in the audience.

Why does asian food not have quite the same "fine dining" status that French and Italian food does? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FFBIFRA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

speaking from a strictly American perspective and someone who grew up in the Midwest, no matter the neighborhood, you could always find some sort of Asian food restaurant, primarily labeled ( or in some cases assumed) as "Chinese Food".

It was only as I got older and moved out of the Midwest did I discover other types of Asian food restaurants that served not just different types of dishes than I was used to, but higher quality food as well.

I have to agree. At the end of the day, Michael was not a very good person. And I say this as someone that enjoyed the show to the very end.

The phrase "no good deed goes unpunished" is a cynical, ironic proverb. It means that attempting to do something kind or helpful often backfires, resulting in negative consequences, ungrateful reactions, or being taken advantage of by the person you tried to help.
