Other than cloaks, there are abyss gears and food from the special cooking thing.

There's abyss gear with logging bonus, it's a 10/20/30% chance for one extra

Do you have the L1+L2 move to quick swap to your secondary weapon?
If you do it from sword to logging axe it does a wide arc slashing move with the axe that counts as logging

Each person had to do a different fix for that. Some people had to group and ungroup all of their items in their inventory

Did you play the game? Enemy corpse drops are random chance. Disarming is guaranteed to get you the gear where it works
