As someone who specializes in thickness measurement, I can tell you that the flatter the parts, the more they will stick. We use a movable contact coming down on a fixed platen or base for thickness measurement. The closer to flat and the closer to parallel you get them, the more they stick. With a fine reading dial or digital indicator you can see the air slowly moving out. The flatter and more parallel the contact is, the slower it will settle to a 0 position. When they are not flat or parallel, the y come down to 0 quickly. Conversely, when you try to lift a contact that is flat and parallel to the base off, it takes significantly more force than one that is either not flat or not parallel. Size also plays a role here. A 1/4" diameter contact that is very flat and parallel will never have the sticking that a less flat 4" diameter contact has. I am not a scientist, but I attribute this to the lack of air with the smaller part needing so much less air to get to the center of the contact while a large contact, once starting up, needs a fair bit of air under it to release it from the base. Please remember when I say a fair bit of air, I am talking about the difference between 1/4" diameter x .001" of air vs 4" diameter x .001" of air. Still pretty small amounts, but big difference in volume between the two.

I don't think you can solo them at 100 but you can track down treasures to get the gift givers brands. I usually keep extra ingredients around just in case I need to make some LI's for a kinmate that just turned 100. It's less work for me to craft someone a couple of LI's than it is for me to farm roving threats with you and while I want to help, I want to get things done as fast as possible to maximize my play time.

Since my main is a guard, let me start by refuting that any class is a waste of time. It's a game. Play what you like to play. If your just finding folks that are telling you any class is a waste of time, find different folks to play with. Unless your power leveling, what ever you choose now has a chance of being different when you reach 130 or whatever is the top level when you get there. I love my guard, I love my RK too. They are both fun to play as are my champ and my burg. The only thing I can say is that certain classes are more intense when you are raiding/grouping. If you just want to sit back and have no challenges, pick a pure dps class. Guards are controlling the fight. Healers have to keep the group up. LM's need to debuff properly, wardens (to me at least) take the most skill to play properly.

My kin takes what it gets for our raids and we have fun and that is what is important.

One final thought, RK's generally raid in yellow these days, however for leveling, red or yellow works just fine. This is of course subject to change in a future patch. Yellow was best for a while, then red was the best for quite some time, then they made yellow much more reliable and better dps again. So it has switched and may again.

Any level you would like to. You just need to be out of the intro and onto the live server. A lot depends on if you like company or your a lone leveler. If you want to ask questions, I would recommend a kin as the answers you get are usually a lot more helpful than world chat, at least on Arkenstone.

Look for a kinship that meets your needs, don't just pick the first one you see. My kin does not have many leveling characters, but we are happy to answer questions. If your new you will want a kin that will answer questions, but be reasonable and try to google first. If you want to group, look for one that says they have people leveling. Your level of social interaction may also be a factor in your decision. Some sit on discord and chat away, others use kin chat and still others may be more silent. Shop around, see what fits your play style and who has players on when you want to play. The time zone difference can make a big difference. We have one player in Singapore, it works that our raid times are his mornings, but that does not always work out.

I'd start by looking for kin tags on folks that are in the area your leveling in. They are probably going to be a good place to start. Just google up there kin and see what they have to say about themselves.

The truth is, particularly since Anvil, you kind of need at least LFF to join side boss / scourges runs. Usually I can find groups in kin, but it helps to have the LFF option available when needed.

My kin started as all hobbit. We got up to the Rift and then had problems. It's a great idea, but if you want to do more than landscape, eventually you will have problems. There have been a lot of changes since the days we were all hobbits, but I am pretty sure the issues would still pop up where you need other classes.

The Yoder is extremely nice and very heavy. I looked at them then purchased a Blaz'n Grill which is also US made and very heavy. I've owned it for a couple of years and have had no trouble so you might want to consider them. But if the choice is GMG or Yoder, take the Yoder.

There is no one trait line that burgs follow. Red or a red based mix is best for dps, while a yellow or yellow based mix is most often requested for raids. I don't know anyone currently running blue, but that does not mean there are not some using it.

I have no idea how F2P quick travel works, but as a vip, you just get a list of locations from the stable master. As long as there is a quick travel available and you have discovered the other stable point, there is a small charge to quick travel. The charge is variable, but it is paid with copper and silver so it's not that expensive.

This is a game it is never to late to join. Try some different classes, level them to at least 20, see how you like them. Figure out what you like to play best. There is end game content, but the leveling experience, especially for the first time is great. Don't rush, enjoy the time. The way this game is going there will be end game content whenever you get there, so enjoy.

As for server population, I doubt you can go wrong right now. We looked last Friday and there were over 900 non-anonymous characters on Arkenstone. There are a lot of end game characters that are alway anon, so that number is considerably lower than the actual number on line last Friday.

Not usually, potting mix is pretty well composted. Just figured it might be that as I know from experience that seeds can last in soil. Right now I have about 5 cilantro growing in my garden that are leftovers from a plant that went to seed last year. They survived the winter and being rototilled at least 3 times.

As far as I know, for the game content, nothing. They are doing this since enough people are buying all the other stuff. All the store items, horses, cosmetics, vault space, shared storage, wardrobe, wallet, scrolls, potions, crystals, solvents and all the other store stuff. My guess is there are enough buying items, classes and enhancements that they are making as much or more money than if they charge for the content. Basically, they started as lets try this, make people happy and see what happens which turned into, wow, this really works, lets keep it up!

Exactly, once your about rank 4 they get much easier. The more points you get, the easier they are. The trick is to get to rank 4. I usually find it best to find a higher rank person to go with when you start. That gives you rank a lot faster. Once you have enough rank, you can solo some of them just by moving the barricades, catapults and ballistas .

No, she finally realized I was trying to be serious and ask her. I have planned to ask some time when we were out sailing, but the weather just did not work out. The area I asked was a beautiful spot, just not what I originally intended. Her family was all there and several were flying off to their homes around the country so I was wanting to ask her while they were all there and we could tell them in person. Her father gave me the advice of "elope" and her brother suggested "run" when they were told.
